Not one team in this division steam rolls anyone. We ve been nearly sucked into relegation for a couple of years if not more. We now have arguably the best stadium in the country. A much stronger squad than last season and we will strengthen in summer. Yet still people expect some instant return and boo their own team
I don’t boo myself but that first half needed some response and it certainly wasn’t applause.

At this stage of the season results like this could well be a disaster, a win would have put us within 3 points of 4th, we are into the business end of things now and need to be winning at home to teams in the bottom half.
I think disaster is when you’re relegated at half time and have to beat Bournemouth to essentially preserve your long term existence, or needing to come back from two goals down against Palace for the same reason.

Disaster this certainly isn’t. What it is, is not being quite where we want to be just yet. We were never going from nearly being relegated and owned/murdered by 777 to European football this quick.

and careful what you wish for! There is no way we are ready to play european football with this team/squad. 2 games a week would have us back in a relegation fight as happens to many others. Build slowly, but build well is the way to go and if that takes a few more seasons then so be it.

Defo need to improve performances and points tally at home but we are well ahead of where we were when compared to recent previous seasons so the trajectory is going the right way.

So that is now Sunderland, wolves, Brentford, West Ham and Leeds that we have failed to beat at home this season

Just need to add Burnley to collection and we’ve done the full set

Sunderland and Brentford are having good seasons. Sunderland have beaten chelsea at stamford bridge and drew at Anfield this season. They're on the same points as Everton.
Your post about the full set comes across like they're absolute givens.
Apart from Wolves under Vitor pereira earlier in the season i dont think there are any. I reckon it was seen last week that Aston Villa who'd won 11 games on the bounce at home was a given against Everton.
Leeds lost 1 game in 12 coming here last night.
These games aren't easy.

Not a brilliant result but after the last few seasons, it's brilliant just to be chilled out about the league.

Strengthen in the Summer again and already looking forward to next season.

There will be no joy in another season like this.

The single one positive is we are not in a relegation fight. The football on offer varies from complete garbage as in the first half to turgid in grinding out 1 0 away wins. There is no shape to the team, no clear plan on how we are supposed to be playing, no team structure, players played out of position. Coaching of any sort of attacking plan appears non existent & there is no hint of a plan b. I’m tired of watching it launched to Barry with no other player near him.

Moyes spent £100m last summer & the football on offer is worse than last season.

So the football is worse now, than when Dyche was here last season, before he bottled it and jumped ship ?

I really don`t think so.
