Fair comment. I will be more specific, the football in Moyes 23 league games this season is worse than the football in Moyes’s 20 league games last season despite the additions.

His points per game is also down.
I didn't know that, I guess that's the impact of his great start, not the slide over the last few fixtures around the end of the season

Next team selection going to be very interesting, do we go with the 3 at the back to accommodate brainthwaite? Never a fan of a back 3 but thahts a strong 3 and it could inadvertently fix the full back problem as it may open the door to the likes of aznou or even rohl or Armstrong playing there, a system that has myko and Patterson not starting will only make us stronger......we may as well try it as we haven't been in a free hit position before and personally not pushed on europe this year as we need to incrementally keep building the squad and that takes time; do it davey 😀......JB option to step into the middle from the back

Pickford
O'brien Brantwaithe Tarks
Rohl Aznou
Garner KDH

Armstrong/Dibling N’diaye
Barry

Rohl and aznou supposed to be wing backs in this formation, 5-2-3 / 5-4-1

well at least we didn't lose, great to see branthwaite back , looked like he'd never been away , he makes such a difference to the backline with his all round play and pace. I would be tempted to continue 3 at the back as long as branthwaite and O'Brian are 2 of the 3 centre backs then maybe try Aznou as wing back and Patterson stays as other wing back.
Definitely this against bottom half teams.

Nice.
Don’t know whether it was over-trying or just stupidity. But Dibling was constantly doubled out wide. And what does he do? Tries to take on two, sometimes even three players. For God’s sake, this isn’t U12 football where you dribble past three opponents and smash it into the top corner.

If you’ve got more than one defender on
you, your team probably has a numerical advantage somewhere else. Move the ball!
Yup, showed his age.

Looked to a bit arrogant/ lazy at times.

I'm sticking down to immaturity and as you say probably trying a bit too hard at the wrong things.

Get your head down and work Tyler, the skill is there. The crossing, work rate and decision making isn't

But in fairness when an already small squad gets hammered by injuries and afcon then this has to be taken into account, even the likes of Tim who I thought was really stepping up getting injured really compounds it plus we now lose grealish, take last night for example, u think Leeds were bothered about mcneill being on the pitch whereas they would have doubled down on grealish

and careful what you wish for! There is no way we are ready to play european football with this team/squad. 2 games a week would have us back in a relegation fight as happens to many others. Build slowly, but build well is the way to go and if that takes a few more seasons then so be it.

Defo need to improve performances and points tally at home but we are well ahead of where we were when compared to recent previous seasons so the trajectory is going the right way.

I appreciate what you're saying, I found myself saying similar myself after the match last night. In truth though, it's perhaps a bit of a cope. No mistake teams struggle domestically when they enter Europe for the first time - we have former Everton players who admitted it. We can look at Forest and Palace now, too as very recent examples.

Ultimately though, whether we progress or not comes down to good or bad recruitment. If we tried to recruit for Europe/extra bodies (like we did under Walsh/Koeman, and as Forest did), then it wouldn't be good.

How many times did one of ours play a give and go just for the other one to pass it back to Tarks / Jake /Jimmy .Moyes has brought up all the past memories of a tactically unaware (favouritic ( new word developed for Moyes ))buffoon .After the season ends we will realise what a chance we had at Europe and this clown gave it up playing his favourites .
How many games have we played well for 90 minutes this season ? I am struggling to find any and how many has he totally messed up the starting 11 ? I feel the same as Dyche's time ,he somehow gets results despite his incompetence .

Which of his "favourites" has he insisted on playing while Branthwaite, Grealish, Gueye, Ndiaye, Patterson, KDH etc have been out injured?

So the football is worse now, than when Dyche was here last season, before he bottled it and jumped ship ?

I really don`t think so.
It's certainly worse than it was nearly 12 months ago when we were hammering Leicester, playing United off the park, scoring last-minute derby levellers and drawing with The Best Team In The World TM Arsenal.

These were all Moyes performances. And they were very good. Much of this season has been turgid rubbish - nearly all of it at home.

It does feel like we've regressed

Opinions, opinions. Disagree entirely with the comment that Leeds were poor. They most certainly were not poor.
The comments about frustrated European ambitions are way out of place. Take a look at the various fixtures week after week for those in Europe. No way is our squad remotely big enough to cope with Europe. Maybe in a year or two if we recruit heavily.
