New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I’ve not bought any of it, but it is exactly that.

Tried the sausage roll and doughnut at the test events, decent enough, then the prices went bonkers.

Doesn’t make sense that they can’t hold stock of everything to allow sales post full time - not even ale or drinks?
chronic mismanagement. We knew there were problems when they ran out of bottles of water on a warm day. Someone needs to let the H&S exec know.

It's not as though there is a costco anywhere near is it.

It's like being in a Marx brothers sketch, the same one, over and over. It's funny at first, then it's not and it keeps happening.

Just like your posts in the Ashes' thread !

I think we should be considerably better than we are given our summer spending. Over 80m wasted on Dibling Barry and Rohl who are all out of their depth.

I expect not to see 3 back to back diabolical home performances against average teams. I won't accept everton being content with being this bad. The lack of urgency and ambition around the club just makes me sad at this point.
You’re so right, what can we do about it

Yes Goodison could be quiet but post pandemic the atmosphere picked up and there was a lot more effort made. If that penalty shootout would have been at Goodison it would have been intimating for the opposition. Today it was so silent when the players walked down to take their kick. It's not the stadium design though, it's a supporter issue.

Partly due to making the most of it while still there knowing the new stadium was being built.

Getting away from the ground is a problem. I don't know how they've only got them exits in the wall, from a fire evacuation point of view it doesn't seem great.

In the hospitality bits some people probably watch about 60 minutes of the games. The main issue is the performances on the pitch.
Are you expecting the whole ground to go up in fire ? Fire risk in most likely in the kitchen & lounge areas and isn't likely to require a whole stadium evacuation.

Just a photo of EFC.

I can't be the only person who thinks the away fans are so much louder at the new place

This tells us the stadium design is meeting it's brief of projecting the sound properly.

If one corner can produce that noise, imagine what we could do with the rest.
Exactly! Some of us really need to up our game. Be the 12th man that we were against Palace the other month.

As a sunderland season ticket holder who also attends Everton games since a boy it was very impressive. Walk from train upto ground wasn’t too far, the few bar on the stretch were big enough. Nice touch with the entry through the big walls. Concourse was really good with the food vans for fans. Looks awesome from outside. Lack of toilets in the lower bowl was [Poor language removed], food and machines very quick to get served, great view, decent atmosphere and sure it will get better when the players on the pitch perform. Perfect results on pens even though it certainly wasn’t a penalty in normal time. Will be back this year before the end of the season if a can get a ticket vs Man City beginning of May. I’ll be in the away end in May with Sunderland so I’ll see a few different sets of experiences for the atmosphere. I’ve been in the away end the last 2 season at St James’s and have seen a draw and win so hopefully I can source another 2 if anyone has any ready for me 😏 28 Feb. Superb ground. Better than Spurs last week, maybe bias but felt a football stadium

Considering any potential hostile reconnaissance, I don't think they'd disclose exactly what they detect mate. I do know there's things like Evolv tech that is used at arenas etc that is pretty sophisticated, it recognises things like the examples you give. Maybe they have a version of something like that? It would make sense, given every single fan will have keys and/or a phone - you need one for entry.

Visible, prominent security though is obviously a hostile deterrent and one I think we all should be welcome and grateful for. Anyone snarling at it needs a clip around the ear.

I figure there's always a perimeter though, an extra searches, if not done efficiently can cause this;

... I see ref to Ariana Grande concert in this thread, which was outside the entry. No matter the search security, there's a point before it.

While on the subject, I do wonder how many fans know the best way to report suspicious behaviour etc. The common sense is alert one of the many stewards/police - but other venues have things like WhatsApp/SMS reporting etc. I can see Everton have reporting for supporter behaviour etc but not 100% if that's for deeper concerns. Does anyone know?

Just as regards the machines they’re garrett pinpoint metal detectors. Good at what they do but security theatre as much as anything I suspect .

Our new home is magnificent, but the fact that you can't get a ticket unless you're a member is absurd.

This will destroy our attendances.
Or grab a resale which realistically will be non existent if we're actually playing decent football....

Average price for a resale ticket for the Leeds game was £70 for an adult ticket and that's the club resale, not seat unique etc...

Madness that a single game without any vouchers etc would cost you over £100 including membership

Fair play mate

Interested to know why you think it's better than Spurs though when everyone creams over their ground?
