We won't be seeing this lad in Everton's first team for a good few decades, we've got the biggest talent in the country in Barkley who's 2 years older and barely makes the bench, what chance has this lad got?? look at another youngster Shayne Duffy, played very well for about 3 games then got dropped for Hibbert, soft arse Hibbo played well in the game but Duffy should never have been dropped, similar to Barkley is confidence will be shot now , results wise he's a miracle worker Moyes no question, but some things like this ^ he winds me right up
Don't think this is fair.

Barkley played, made a mistake and apparantly was in tears after the game. He loves the club, he doesn't want to do wrong and it's Moyes's job to make him mentally stronger, he is VERY young and will get a chance when the time is right. Alot of people have stated it, why play Barkley in the team when we weren't playing well? He's also been injured and had problems with fitness so.

George on the other hand is even younger, he will get his chance when the time is right.

Edit: oh and Duffy, yes he played well, but he could potientally have his confidence ruined by making mistakes too, Moyes played hibbo at CB agaisnt City, choosing to drop Duffy and it proved the right decision. Duffy will be bled through, Distin hasn't got too much left in him, Jags is injured and Neville is getting older.

No one's made more mistakes and give more penalties and dangerous free kicks away than Hibbert and Neville, neither our even close to Barkley's talent yet both in the team every week, that puts that argument to bed, Moyes doesn't like players with flare because in 10 years he's signed 2 for money Arteta and Pienarr , neither are now Officially Everton players , Moyes prefare's the defence first approach and players like Jack Rodwell, Darren Gibson, and Fellaini, the proof in this argument is that our left back has been our main source of creativity for a couple of years now, We get results with Moyes but it's boring negative football , which doesn't include a Ross Barkley, and us fans are now used to it

Flare players are dangerous, especially around bathrooms.

See Balotelli for examples.

Anyway sort of agree there.

Yes but you're forgetting that Hibbert and Neville are PROFESSIONALS, they wouldn't let one mistake get there head down so much and they can take stick. Sure they're gash at times, but if Barkley was on the pitch making these mistakes he'd only blame himself and this is where Moyes will train his mentality.

Moyes plays defensively yes, but Osman is always a threat and he's been out injured too.

Barkley will start playing in more games when he's actually match fit, and we're winning games against the likes of wigan and so on comfortably. Which in all fairness we've not done so in the past few months.

And the he's only young argument is not true either he's 18 FFS, James Vaughn had doubled the amount of games at 16, just because he works his plumbs of like Straqularsi but had no ability, as my dad call's it a Moyes type of player

Can't have that mate sorry, Barkley never got the chance to show his mental strength fella he was substituted straight away , and is the most talented player in our whole squad and should be involved a hell of a lot more IMO

That is true he likes work horses so i'll give you that.

Look what happened to Vaughan though? He got injured, and injured, and injured. It's done him no good, sure it wasn't his fault but maybe if he was bled through better and man-managed properly he'd be getting more games to date.

I'd say its more to do with mental age. If Barkley plays against tottenham, goes for a stupid challenge and ends up injured you'd all be criticising Moyes for playing him. You need the right mentality to go out there and play your best.
