Everton Sign Jack Harrison

Everton have completed the transfer of Jack Harrison on a season-long loan deal.

The 26-year-old winger signed a new five-year deal at Elland Road in April, with the terms including a clause that can be triggered by clubs following relegation from the Premier League.

Everton moved on Sunday to activate that clause, with Harrison set to join Sean Dyche’s squad on a temporary basis. The club is likely to push to make the move permanent in due course.

Harrison won’t be immediately available for selection due to a hip problem that has seen him miss the start of Leeds’ Championship campaign and is likely to sideline him until after September’s international break.

The transfer is a welcome addition to an Everton side that has long struggled for goals – with Harrison recording 21 goals in the past three seasons, as well as picking up 10 assists across competitions last season despite playing in a struggling Leeds side.
