Sam Allardyce has identified Eliaquim Mangala as a potential deadline day loan signing, according to numerous sources.

Big Sam is eager to bring balance to his squad, he would become only the third left footer in the whole squad (alongside injured pair Leighton Baines and Ramiro Funes Mori).

Manchester City are keen to get the French centre half out of the club after yesterday’s capture of Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao.

City paid Porto a mammoth £42 million for Mangala’s services back in 2014, but he has never established himself in the side, spending last term out on loan at La Liga outfit Valencia.

It is reported Everton are willing to pay a loan fee around the £1 million mark.

Said before he signed that this guy is a defensive cock up waiting to happen…..bamby on ice with the ball at his feet.

Unfortunately this was proven on his debut…think Man City are hardly a strong defensive team so why would they let him go ?

City don't worry too much about defence.

They just try to score more than they let in.

Just glad it's only a loan.

You know what our recruitment policy is like though, we will offer £20m at the end of the season

When Funes Mori is probably our best CB you know something isn't right.

Just wait till he comes back and starts performing absolutely crap
