Sam Allardyce has admitted Everton are in a battle to keep their Premier League status.

After taking 12 points in his first six games as Everton boss things were looking up for Big Sam’s side, but after a torrid run resulting in the Blues picking up one point in their last four outings it is looking bleak.

When asked if the Toffees could be dragged back into the relegation fight Allardyce replied: “Yes, very.

“Especially after performing like that and last week’s second-half performance.

“I’ve seen a huge drain in the confidence in the players in the space of one-and-a-half football matches because we didn’t do too bad in the first-half against Tottenham.

“The quality of the Tottenham side I can kind of accept but West Brom are in the bottom three and if anybody should’ve been suffering from nerves it should’ve been them more than us.”

It is clear to see why Allardyce is looking over his shoulder with just six points separating Everton in ninth from the bottom three.

Dogs_of_War Mate we play Newcastle, Southampton, Brighton, Palace and Leicester at Home and go away to Burnley, Watford, West Ham, Huddersfield and Stoke. If we can’t pick up a minimum of 8 points against them, then we might aswell call it a day as a professional football club and enter the Business House League next season. As I see it fs and the team stopped playing professional football some time ago. But, like yourself, I'll be there with fingers and toes crossed for more big slices of luck to come our way. I'm off to Goodison now to see if… Read more »

We simply need to place two attackers up front at home and we will pile the up the points. Our midfielders are terrible the past month or so maybe longer. Allardyce needs to buy into this soon or we will be relegation fodder.

That's the whole point ^

You have confidence that there are 3/4 teams we can beat. I don't.

Overreacting much there mate?

We don’t have to ‘start beating everybody’. We need to win about 3/4 games.

3 of the 4 games we didn’t register a shot on target were Chelsea, United & Spurs. Considering we’ve got 14 games left and only Arsenal, City & Liverpool from the top 6 to play, that shouldn’t matter much.

jaybx1878 I'm not confident that this team will win any of the remaining games, we barely register a shot on goal in any game so why would we suddenly start beating everyone, we could have been in an even worse plight if we hadn't had some uncharacteristic good fortune in the Brighton, Liverpool and Newcastle games, it really is a total shambles.
