Yeah, but that's where stats can be a bit misleading as well. How many times do you track back and make a tackle/break up an attack? How many times do you go forward on a break and get on the end of a cross/receive a telling pass? How many times do you receive the ball in midfield and create an effective move with it?

To be fair, so far his skill set has been concentrated on the third aspect there. He's still settling in and once he gets comfortable he will hopefully have the kind of effect that Kenny did with Schalke the other day, rather than fans saying 'OK-ish' on the back of an away win.

....absolutely.

...I know they have stats on all types of things, be interesting how much ground he covered compared to his teammates. I always think of him as a ‘languid’ mover, never gives the impression the throttle is full out.

They way I describe his performances sometimes is that he seems to wait for the game to come to him rather than than the other way round. And when it does he is very effective as he obviously has a great skill set. It does look like that hes trying to change this aspect of his game though which can only help him in the long run.

I thing his positioning is sometimes wrong. He is trying to get into the box and surround himself with defenders rather than drop a few metres back away from the edge of the box to free up space for himself. Well that seemed to be the case last night. However Cocu might have instructions for the number 10 to get as close to the striker as they can.

The one time he dropped back into a pocket of space last night was when Tom Lawrence scored his second goal. Don't think it made any difference to the goal being scored but it was better awareness from him.

He reminds me a bit of Steve McManaman, which would be no bad thing if he has the career he had.

That’s a shame, looking at his experience you can’t see Virginia getting a look in, hopefully we’ve got something that allows us to pull him, either another loan or back at FF.

I thought we can only pull them out in transfer windows? Unless he could maybe be on loan there but play for the U23’s.

Well I’m not sure of all the rules but we’re in a Transfer Window now. Then there’s probably something about number of clubs he can play for. Looks messy.

Can only play for 2 clubs in one season if I remember correctly. I mean yes we’re in a window but we’re not going to be recalling him in the next few days.

Don't normally do these for the youth teams, but who could resist Hamilton Academicals in the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup...

Korede Adedoyin started and was substituted in the 58th minute of a 4-0 home win over BSC Glasgow.

Twitter stuff
46’ Adedoyin booked for diving. Looked like a foul on the young Everton loanee.
47’ Close! Adedoyin with a shot just wide of the BSC keepers post.
