Connolly has started this really well. Encouraging stuff.

Always keen to get forward and move into central areas, you can see hiw he poaches so many goals for a defender.
Have you saw much of him Eggs mate? I've seen very little other than that Norwich game last year where admittedly he was very good.
He never played against Norwich.

Back at Everton
Lots of positives from Connolly in the first half and showing some of the traits from his U23s games. Getting forward and finding space to shoot , good two footed ability clearing with his left foot a number of times, got back well to stop an attack with a header. Interesting that they place ihim in the middle from defensive corners obviously trust his heading ability.
His physicality caught him out with the goal but Fellani does that to bigger more experienced defenders, and dived in once or twice , he'll learn from that, but looked composed.

To be fair I would never judge a player by how they get on in the air against Fellaini one on one. I've seen him do they to Vidic.
