I have been a fan of the WWE since it was the WWF and Hulk Hogan ruled the ring. Have been hot and cold on it over the years but got into it again when the Hardy Boys where just breaking into the main events, and the Rock was blowing up big time. Gonna see the TNA when they come to the UK this summer, theyve got Kurt Angle (Former Olympic Champion Wrestler) and some other big names now.
Don't let the 'entertainment', 'fake' macthes and bad acting/storylines fool you, it is a legit... well not sport, but certainly the wrestling aspects are more than just entertainment... its more like extremely violent ballet!
BTW, i hate the 'fake' label. The results etc may be predetermined, but ask anyone who knows anything about it, or who has been part of it, and it is far from 'fake'. Those guys take a hell of a beating 5/6 nights a week and keep going thru it all for most of the year. If we talk about our players not performing because of playing 2 games in 4/5 days, and having played 40 games already they wouldn't last a week in wrestling (aside from getting their bodies bruised and abused).
