What is this TNA like DBRG, it is supposedly starting to rival WWE

I do enjoy TNA when I've watched it. 6 Sided rings ftw!

The rings are Hexagon shaped and TNA have managed to snag some talent from WWE whilst keeping hold of their own. Nowhere near WWE rivals yet and I'll wager that they wont be WWE rivals for quite a while.

And jacked up on 'roids. Also he has 'disfigured' his daughter (Stephanie, tons of plastic surgery and she looks like she is on the 'roids as well)to facilitate this 'spectacle'

Isn't she married to HHH and dispite all the drugs still managed to sire a kid

Dunno, I know they had a storyline where they were an item, never knew if it was true or not. (Waaay back, when I used to watch it the Rock wasn't a star yet, a member of the Nation IIRC, and Stone Cold was ruling the ring)

I have been a fan of the WWE since it was the WWF and Hulk Hogan ruled the ring. Have been hot and cold on it over the years but got into it again when the Hardy Boys where just breaking into the main events, and the Rock was blowing up big time. Gonna see the TNA when they come to the UK this summer, theyve got Kurt Angle (Former Olympic Champion Wrestler) and some other big names now.

Don't let the 'entertainment', 'fake' macthes and bad acting/storylines fool you, it is a legit... well not sport, but certainly the wrestling aspects are more than just entertainment... its more like extremely violent ballet!

BTW, i hate the 'fake' label. The results etc may be predetermined, but ask anyone who knows anything about it, or who has been part of it, and it is far from 'fake'. Those guys take a hell of a beating 5/6 nights a week and keep going thru it all for most of the year. If we talk about our players not performing because of playing 2 games in 4/5 days, and having played 40 games already they wouldn't last a week in wrestling (aside from getting their bodies bruised and abused).

The first event I watched was Summerslam '88. On and off since then. Currently been WWF/WWE free since ~2001

Suffers from a lot of the same problems as WWE. You have to sit through a hell of a lot of crap in order to get to the good stuff.

Too many egos involved as well and people who plainly have no idea about presenting a wrestling show yet still get well paid jobs where they do just that.

Unforunatly due to the incredibly bad booking they currently dont stand a chance of competing with WWE from a viewing/financial aspect, they actually do a better job of turning people off their shows then they do on with their stupidity.

Thats not to say there isn't some good in there. They have a lot of young talented guys on the show who given the chance can knock out a match better than the majority of WWE wrestlers. Although they do seem to insist on signing every ex-WWE star who becomes free. Which is usually after they stop being any good. Kurt Angle being a prime example.

In many ways they are similar to WWE but still manage to present a decent alternative which is worth checking out.

that reminds me, what was the follow up on the bloke that killed his wife then himself last year (i think it was) he was a pro wrestler/former pro?
