I cant take credit for the film, but posted it here as I knew there would be interest and figured the century was coming up.
I never thought you were mate but wanted to pass on my thanks as I enjoyed it and didn’t even know it existed

I posted it the classic matches thread but yes it deserved its own threadJust found this only been out 2 weeks -
People often talk about how ex players would’ve fared in the modern game, but I’d be interested to see how many goals Beto would’ve scored back then.VAR has checked his goals and took away 57 for goal hanging.

I reckon he’d get 70. Easily.
Don’t get me wrong, he would be subjected to some horrific abuse, but that was the times back then.
Plus he can't score from 12 yards in our last game.....on a plush surface & a balloon of a ball..About 1 in 6 than.
Imagine Beto trying to run on that turf..
Comparisons between era's are just neverending silly debates.

Beto is not as good as the. Our worst signing ever Bernie the Bolt Wright - compering him to Dixie Dean is just another P take
Maybe in this transfer window - talking of eras it is hard to compare - but as I Stated back in Dixie Dean's day it was the same conditions- ball- conditions- & rules for every CF of Deans era in the top division in his era no one ever succeeded in getting near 60 leagues goals - such an achievement hence his bronze statue outside Goodison Park ala the Holy Trinity statues ....It is very silly with these 2 specific players, but so is the whole comparison debate..
One will always be a club legend.
One will fade from memory.

It often compared though in champions of our club since the 1960s &1980s etc- many threads have debated which was the best sides etcetcit does all come down to eras etc plus no VAR in those erasForget Era vs Era
You can only do what's put in front of you at the time.
That's how you have to look at it..

100yrs time and we'll have an Armstrong thread..It often compared though in champions of our club since the 1960s &1980s etc- many threads have debated which was the best sides etcetcit does all come down to eras etc plus no VAR in those eras![]()
Always happy what ever give you that idea100yrs time and we'll have an Armstrong thread..
Anyway, off topic now..
Atleast your happy again today..

Your spot on he was a goal hanger -VAR has checked his goals and took away 57 for goal hanging.
Especially from Bill .....who deep down ended up an Evertonian ....Beethoven, Shakespeare and Rembrandt
That's some compliment.
