Would you sell Jelavic?

i'd give him until jan next season before making a decision. a really boss half to the season and a really bad season so far. he lacks any sort of confidence, but he does have that strikers nack of just poking his toe out and scoring. If that's all he has to his game then, sometimes that's what you need for a bench striker to win you games like he did vs spurs.

What sort of wage is jela on??

We definately need another striker a (top class one) whether jelavic stays or goes is boss or turd. Ideally we could do with one who can play No.10 or right up top.

If jelavic stays tho he may well have to get used to a place on the bench!

Depends on how many strikers we can sign this summer.

If we can afford to sign both Negredo and Remy with the sale of him, Anichebe, Gueye and Vellios then a big yes.

Just can't see that working financially for a club like us , despite the TV money we are due to get the contracts that we'd need to pay would I think make that a no goer.

I suspect we'll sign a decent striker or at least have a go .

You're probably right sheeds. I will be very surprised if we can afford one of the two that I have mentioned above.

Have a go sounds the most likely to me just going through the motions.

There was an interview last year where a member of the squad (Cahill I think) went to console Jelavic after missing a sitter against Swansea, his response was "Why are you talking to me? I will score the next one"...which he then did a few minutes later.

Would love to know where he's gone.

We're a 15 goal a season striker away from the champs league, we need as much cash and wages as poss to attract that.

Jela isn't that man so he's got to go, simples.

Not that simple.

Who the heck would want him?!

It's hard to say really because we all know how bad he's been, but you can't help but think that someone of the ilk of Sunderland or West Ham would take a punt on him based on his form from last season.

I think we'd get the 5m back as 5m really doesn't get you much these days.

Maybe I'm just wishful thinking

I'd get rid this summer. His reputation isn't completely shot yet, but it will be by the time the window re-opens next January.

Question lidz.

If he starts scoring next season do we sell him while he's got value in January or hope he doesn't flop again?

Keep him, lets see what he does next season.

I dont think he has been the same since earlier in the season when he ran into the goalpost. I think it messed him up more than was let on. Seems to have lost a yard of pace.
