Would you have Lukaku back?

You can't be lazy, unable to hold the ball up and have a host of other technical deficiencies and achieve those stats.

Yet he's all those things and has those stats. Because those stats have absolutely nothing to do with him having those traits - an assist can be a world class cross field ball or a rebound off your arse; they count as one regardless. As for goals, I can't believe at this point it still has to be explained that Lukaku is an extraordinary goalscorer but a mediocre footballer.

Would I have him back? If you could remove his attitude problems and just go on what he does on the pitch, then yes, as he's a big upgrade on Niasse in the 'Plan B' department.

Would I want him back for the money required, as well as the fact he'd start every game (halting our progress as a team to play winning football) and the baggage he'd bring? Well, for me, I can't say "no" emphatically enough to that question.

It's crazy to think that He thinks he's on the up.

He's shown exactly what he is at United.. Completey one dimensional and not what top teams need.

Why does he now think juve would even be interested?!!!

He will end up on united bench and then force a move to some random team willing to pay his enormous wages. Won't be us

One thing that can't be questioned is his goal scoring. He's scored an impressive number of goals throughout his career even at West Brom and Everton finishing mid table. He isn't in the very top bracket in the Premier League like a Kane, Aguero or even Aubemeyang (who I think will prove to be at that level) but he's the next tier down. That is a level above what we have been used to for the last 25-30 years from our strikers.

Agree about the work rate and first touch but that's only exposing him at a club that wants to win the league or be in the top 2 or 3. They are different to our ambitions so we will have players in our squad that have limitations.

Don't see him coming back anyway but he would definitely improve us.

how is there ambition different to ours? we want to win the league, they have better tools to do it at the moment.

he has scored goals for us and west brom yes, not doing it at UTD though. he would improve us yest but most forwards would improve us at the minute.

I don't think he would come back nor do I think we should have him back, he has moved on and so should we.find the Next lukaku or the next Kane

without a doubt. regardless how he”s performed at Utd. who cares about his all round game all as he needs is balls in the box like he did with us an got on the end of things especially now with the attacking threat we currently have were lackin that striker just to get on the end of things. could see him banging in 25 atleast of he was in our squad atm, no way he”d come back tho

Fits the team better but will get about half if not less than half of what Lukaku was getting for us.

Miss the point.
The team is being set up to score from all over; his game relies on the team being built around him..

He'd walk into our team short term, but long term, I think we would score as many with the team than if he is here purely down to the fact the team is being set up to score from all over.

Look at how many trophies they have won in the last 25 years, then compare it to how many we have won in that time, and there is your answer. Our current (realistic) ambitions are to finish 7th and close the gap on the top 6. As one of the biggest clubs in World Football, theirs are understandably different to ours and their players have far more pressure and expectation on them.

You say he's not doing it at United, which in part may be true, but if you take away Murray and Mitrovic who will be behind him at the end of the season, only Hazard, Aguero and Kane have outscored him so far. He's level with Lacazette, Sterling, Mane and Aubameyang.

Plan B? You rate Tosun (DCL?) ahead of him?
Mad tha.

What i dont understand is why Evertonians even talk about him, he should be irrelevant, Fellaini and has been a much better player for United but people dont talk about him at all,

My United fan mates were made up they got him and I told them just to wait and watch...

Then he started like a runaway train and got 12 in 10 games and I was thinking maybe I had it wrong..

A season later my mates are saying we should have him back as is he isn't a real footballer at all. No touch and no brain!!!

I just laugh.

Its crazy, one set of fans in the whole country rate him, Everton fans, well some, its bizzare.

I thnk its because we have been devoid of quality of the years that a lot of our fans think he is a top player, its either because they have never seen a real good striker due to age, nothing wrong with that, or just dont understand football.

Rom was ok in an average mid-table team, and if we are honest thats what we were, anything better or with real ambition then he is out of his depth

I'm thinking rom will be long forgotten if Richarlison and Bernie keep on firing like they are...

Footballers with real energy, desire and some actual skill..

It's been a long time Everton

Strange is it not that a club like ours which cannot normally attract world class players or keep them for very long if we do get them, has supporters who indulge in picking to pieces the last world class player we had? I guess if, say maybe Charlison ever develops into world class, i.e. sought after by top clubs, subsequently transferred for a huge fee, then the same goons will line up to slag him off for this and that fault. Someone used the word bizarre. That is what it is.

No mate.

Richarlison seems to have a bit of humility about him

We will defo lose him at some point and no doubt we will all be gutted.

But if he has given his all to the club then I'm sure we will all wish him well.

The same can't be said for rom, who is once again proving exactly the type of fella he is.
