Would A European Super LEague Be Good For Someone Like Everton

I've hit mid 30's mate and I think it's suddenly dawned on me that I only have about 2 years left before death, I figured I should throw the odd one in now and then before the perma ban and death.

They couldn't ban you, we wouldn't allow it. We'd march in our thousands on the capital in Ewok masks and ...well... it gets a bit molesty from there, but rest assured a message would be sent. A powerful, barely legal message

I have been warned about my conduct and sadly I can't help myself, so it's happening and I look forward to the subsequent march.

As for this league though, I propose we just set fire to Blatter and Platini and once their heads have burnt off we play a game of football with them that should symbolise the rebirth of football.

It'd be a nightmare for Everton if it happened. The Premiership money and any advertising etc. would drop through the floor. Our turnover would go down by about 80%. Cutbacks etc. would kill the club, and if we did produce any decent players, they'd all have ambition to go and play in the 'Super League' where the money would be, so we'd never hold on to them anyway.

As was said on the previous page though, they already have one and it's the Champions League, so I can't see it happening.

You spelled massage with an e Mr Weinstein.

It'd never happen.

Some clubs, and UEFA, are certainly not averse to the Champions League having an invite only historical co-efficient type vibe which is completely subjective and open to abuse so as to keep the money-makers in there. They would not however want those same clubs to exit their own leagues.

Spending a few seasons as mid-table or lower in a Super League would tarnish their reputations as they become sides who never win anything or even come close. Couple that with the fact that the big clubs' world audiences will soon fall away as they get fed up watching them draw and lose as often as they win. Better to have a competition featuring teams that often win games and win a trophy or two to maintain a shiny and glamorous CL.

The next step would more likely be a switch of CL games to the weekend with participating sides playing their league games midweek instead.

Its simple.

Remember back 20 or 30 years ago, and compare then to now.

Then think what you will remember, god willing like, in 20 or 30 years time.

If the bubble keeps growing, if the China, and India fan bases (sic), are maintained, nothing is off the table.

Will it be good for Everton? Not a clue
