Performance wise, we missed a handful of chances and lost to a worldie 1-0.

We've put in well worse performances than that - Wigan (Moyes) and Sunderland (Martinez) come straight to mind, then Dinamo Bucuresti etc.

Our biggest chance to end the anfield hoodoo, a weakened team which villa brushed aside. We have nothing else to play for this season - our only chance of a trophy and we're playing the favourites who don't even want to play in it.

New world class manager for us so we went in on a high, yet we couldn't string two passes together and apart from Keans embarrassment we had no shots in the second half.

8000 in the away end full of hope and we had players not putting effort in and having No impact.

Moyes Wigan wasn't too shocking as he was known for bottling cups, and Sunderland with Martinez was due to a stupid penalty.

This result hits harder imo, fall from grace from the Chelsea game, got dominated by 16 year olds, not senior squad members, swallowed in embarrassment.

First half was OK,"if" we had gone in two/three up it would have been justified, we didn't,Second half was pathetic though, we couldn't get hold of the ball, their kids were toying with us at times, every Evertonian worth his salt could see them winning that game after our poor finishing.

I must say that I feel empty inside because we had chances the team showed some effort but we are still so mentally weak as a team ,I would love to know how these players can be so easily knocked off their game ! Yes we lost to them and they had kids playing but the ones I watched would get in our team even the 16 year old lad played well .Confidence is one thing but they have an arrogance that sadly is justified .Years of believing they were entitled has convinced them and now it shows what good psychology can do .
Our worst performance ? I have no idea ,but as said before the worst humiliation against them for sure .Our best chance in many years and barely one player stood up ,they cannot be docked their wages but they should certainly donate them .
I would love to be a fly on the wall when they have their board meeting.

Exactly this. Should have been 3-0 at half time, you can’t fail to put your chances away and then expect to win. 2nd half was rubbish, it was as if they had accepted well we’ve had our chances now.
