Worst performance in our history.

Yeah no. We weren’t going to win at Anfield. We had a good first half and didn’t take advantage. Game over.
THIS

Could’ve been two or three up at half-time. Had a bad second-half. It’s not the end of the world get over it. We were in the relegation zone two or three weeks ago and we were playing the European and world champions.
We changed our manager because we were so bad. What makes anybody think we were going to win now after 20 years of not winning there. Get a grip.

We had great chances in the first half, but even then we were playing poorly. They played like a team that's been well drilled to play a system, we were behind the play in midfield all the time, christ knows what we work on in training.

This central midfield can’t hang. It is what it is. They had a bunch of fresh youngsters and we had a load of overworked players and Schneiderlin in the team. The winter schedule is as brutal as always.

We have mentally weak players for sure and that is the root cause of the problem. Players that have been failures through being relegated (Pickford, Sigurdsson), failures through not fulfilling their potential at bigger clubs (Mina, Digne, Gomes, Schneiderlin, Kean, Keane, Walcott, Iwobi), failures in international tournaments of Epic proportions (See Bernard's role in Brazil 1, Germany 7 WC semi final, Baines in 2014 WC), people with issues off of the pitch (allegedly - Sidibe) and players with experience of bottling playoffs (See Holgate and West Brom last year) and players who don't or can't trust their body anymore (Coleman and Delph)

We have 4 undamaged players in an around the first team. Richarlison, Gbamin, Calvert-Lewin and Davies. One is a shining light, but we don't know his best position, one would be a a world beater if he could shoot, one needs a haircut and the other could be great, but is injured, so who knows.

That is the scale of the problem. Nothing is changing unless the players do.

When was the last proven 'in his prime' player with no baggage who we signed? Kanchelskis. We won a trophy. We need to sign 3 or 4 of this type of player to progress.

May as well blood some of our kids who have dominated PL2 for the last 3 years or so. Probably the only people at the club with a winning mentality.

How depressing......

I would hope now that Carlo has the measure of the players, time to clear some out. Them kids got done against Aston villa a few weeks ago and we couldn't be bothered.

Hello darkness my old friend...

Recruitment, recruitment, recruitment. If someone told you, one of those teams spent nearly half a billion assembling one of those two sides today. You'd laugh. Or maybe cry.

Composure in the final third is non-existent. In the centre it's appalling. Maybe some of them will come good being generous but I expect a massive cull. And it's deserved. Let's hope this time the tab is going to be on Usmanov because you're looking at replacing nearly an entire team.

I have absolutely no doubt Ancelotti is the man for the job as well. But to be handed such a spineless, shower of cowards, he'll deserve every last penny of his wage to turn this club around.

Recruitment, from the managers, DoF and the players has been nothing short of catastrophic for our club. And it will take a very deep wallet indeed to bail us out.
As usual....nail on the head......our season is not over, I fear a relegation battle.

It will by us, but not by them and probably most football fans.
Do you know something? I honestly think that the rest of the footballing community will have forgotten by tomorrow morning. Even that lot. We are a nonentity at this moment in time.
The only morsel of comfort I am clinging to is that today's result and performance is that it will be a 21st century Kevin Brock moment. Onwards and upwards Blue Boys.
