Worst Everton Moment

'86 cup final defeat, without a shadow of a doubt. Lost our title to them and then we handed the cup to them.

For some reason I always remember getting beat in the FA cup final by Man Utd in 1985 as my worst moment. absolutely gutted when Whiteside scored that curler. Even worse than losing to liverpool twice in 86 and 89. Not sure why, prob cos I expected to beat them, whereas i half expected to be beaten by Liverpool.

Same here , Gutwrenching (Tears of plenty) that day . Felt sick for weeks (n)

There are many. Getting beat 4-0 by arsenal when they won the league and then us going into the last game (coventry) knowing we had a real chance of going down...

Sitting through mike walker and then Kendall mkIII.

Watching brett angell in a blue shirt

Bottling it - Semi final 2011; Final 2009; Semi Final (league cup) 2009....always f*cking bottling it

Clattenburg Derby
Reading at home fa cup
Losing 4-0 at home to Bolton
Last years Semi final

unfortunately i could go on.

I think it hurts more when you are younger.

For me it's Mick Lyons having a perfectly good goal disallowed against the RS, then seeing them go down the other end and Waddle scoring his one and only goal for them.

That was back in the day when fans were intermingled. I was about 15 and surrounded by Kopites in the Enclosure. They were really sympathetic and hugged me - not in a gloating way either. It made me feel WORSE! LOL!

A far cry from the way fans are today. I miss those days (pre-Heysel).

When NOT at the match - Clive Thomas semi final. You know the one. ;)

That was when we were really rubbish, I remember us singing " Get him on, Get him on " when he was on the bench ( None of us had seen him play before ) and after 10 mins of him being on the pitch we were singing " Get him off, Get him off "

Just the general feeling of anti-climax i seem to have suffered in my lifetime as a blue . 31 this year , remember going when we were great but the memories are faint, nothing since but ****ing dejection !!! (95 aside)

.....my mum standing at the side of my bed with the full backpage Daily Mirror headline 'Everton sell Alan Ball'. Tommy Booth's last minute semi-final winner at Villa Park ('67 or '69 I think) and of course Jeff Astle smacking that extra-time goal against us at Wembley in '68. Scars on my memory amidst plentiful disappointment and joy.

15:22 on Saturday 7th May 1994 - 2 nil down to Wimbledon needing a win to stay up was pretty horrific. I was only 11 at the time and genuinely thought we were done for.

Disallowed goal vs Villerreal

Everton 1 - Arsenal 6 Before the Lescott saga I was convinced after the FA cup final that we were on for a great season. Seeing the team picked apart in the manner they were was awful.

Hearing YAWN at Wembley and then having to make that journey back to Merseyside on a coach full of depressed fans without a bevvy
