Can’t see this being a genuine attempt at escalation by Iran. If they really wanted to hurt Israel with this strike, then they wouldn’t announce it before they actually landed - all of the personnel will go into safe bunkers and all the defence systems will be on absolute maximum alert knowing exactly what’s coming.

Seems like another face saving fake retaliation just like the strike on the US Iraq base after the Solemini hit.

To be fair it doesnt matter if they tell Israel or not, Israel knew as soon as they fired everything.

Except that the USA has always looked for a plausible reason to give Iran a kicking, and the fact that they specifically and publicly warned Iran not to do it. If any of these drones or missiles fired by Iran hit any USA bases or interests then the IRGC is probably toast…..

Iran is a far far different animal to that of the likes of Iraq and Afghanistan. If the U.S say had to invade Iran it could and I believe would be even worse to the states than Vietnam in my opinion. Logistically a full invasion is close to impossible of Iran unless you can get the vast majority of Iranian people on your side which won't happen

The Iranians have pacts with Russia and China. Doesn't take much to take this global quite quickly.

Hopefully Iran getting involved will cause a stalemate and each side backs down. Unfortunately unlikely as too many big egos are involved which seems to be the main cause and longegivity of senseless wars

Israel can handle the drone and cruise missiles - its dem pesky ballistic missiles that will cause the problems.
