yep, same as Brazil 4 years ago. Most games were 1pm, 3pm and 5pm local time

I guess so. But I do remember USA 94 when there was a regular 12.30am (GMT) match. That would've been a night match if on the East coast. Although the final in Pasadena was in daylight...

Best match I remember was in Mexico 86 when Belgium beat USSR 4-3 after extra time. Small hours of a sunday night/ Monday morning and I had school the next morning but was allowed to stay up alone and watch untill 1.15 am, great commentary by that east anglia TV fella Gerry Harrison.Game is largely forgotten now because it didn't involve one of the elite nations.

Going into such a deep sleep after being allowed to stay up in 1970 to see the Italy West Germany semi final I went to school thinking I hadn't seen it and had a row with my dad when he got home after work complaining why he had not let me stay up!!!
