Was a bang on red, cant understand why anyone says otherwise

Because the interpretation of the law used to be: if you win the ball then catch the player on follow-through it's not a foul, never mind a yellow or a red, unless you show serious intent to harm the opponent.

Now the logical conclusion of today's interpretation is that ANY slide tackle that catches the opponent is necessarily a red card, whether you win the ball or not, and whether you meant to harm the opponent or not.

That's why.

That ref they have on as an “expert”.

He justified the sending off on the grounds of it being a dangerous tackle.

Now they are quoting the ref as saying it was for preventing a goal scoring chance,

And the whole point of VAR? To clear up confusions like this.

The only league to think it's too good for VAR? The only one not to have a ref at the world cup.

Is he pump Chris. If he stays where he is, trust his wall and guards the side of the net that's his responsibility, he saves it.
He instead does the opposite, this Neves is going over the wall and tries to pre empt it.
Really immature goalkeeping.

Sorry Mk, read it wrong. Totally agree, he clearly was in the wrong on that goal. Let the wall do it’s job
