I have been out all day so the only thing I know about the game is the result.
Today's game had a little bit of pressure on it, probably the first pressure game since the semi.
Questions.
1, did we pick a team to attack them or contain them
2,did we play football or hoof
3, did bottle it.
Cheers in advance.
The first was on by a mile.
The second... Stracq was on but Felli definitely wasn't and interfered with play, even though he didn't touch the ball. So that was the correct decision.
We should have had a pen as well though, to be fair.
Today was a complete and total let down by the whole team. Don't these players ever pick up on the 'talk on the streets' of how massively important to their supporters some results are compared to others?
I accept that we have no given right to win every match (that's only the prerogative of the RS) but Wolves away was almost a must win game as it would have more or less guaranteed us finishing above them.
I mean Wolves away! Should have been a walk in the park. But no, as is too often the case we fall short and are now left to hope that the RS come unstuck in at least one of their remaining matches, when with 3 points from today we could have just left them to get on with it and not given a toss what they did.
Knowing how the RS go for the jugular with every mistake this modern Everton makes, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they have pipped us for 7th place when the final whistle blows next Sunday.
Take it easy big man. Playing for 7th Place?
Does it matter? We should have won but we didn't. We put four in at United, and they will feel like they should have won. The RS lost the final, no prizes for second place and their season was a total failure anyway.
I feel your frustrations mate, but seriously, it's all about next season now.
Long day for a 0-0, pity Jelavic's goal was disallowed I think we'd have got a few more had it done so!
That's me for the season, off to China on Wednesday so will not see the final game against NU.
Report card reads: appalling start, good transfer activity, much better finish, Plenty of what ifs - especially the Derby at Anfield and the Semi-Final.
Hopefully we will see transfer activity early in the summer.
Positives: Jelavic (although we need someone else as he obviously cannot score every game), Piennar (we must re-sign him), Heitinga - should be next Club Captain, Gibson - inspired buy, Hibbert - he must score in 2012/13
Negatives: - Tim Cahill, as much as I love him his best days have passed, Rodwell - sadly injury prone, we should cash in if possible, Jagielka - similarly we should cash in.
As ever love following the Blues, both ups and downs - look forward to seeing you all in 2012/13!
