Winslow Hotel - RIP

Best memory of the Winslow would be the last game at Goodison. Couldn't get a ticket and the inside of the pub was rammed so ended up outside the boozer watching the game through the side window, ended up becoming mates with a few of the lads stood around me and we all went for a pint and swapped contacts after the game. One of the best days at the match and I wasn't even in the ground. Not forgetting the sound system being taken from in the pub, put outside and and the rave everyone had while the match was on. RIP The Winslow - what a place!!

I was born at home about 100 yards from The Winslow, grew up seeing the pub and the ground every day. Had my 1st legal pint in there with my Dad and briefly dated the managers daughter in early 80's ! Used to go in sporadically as the The Oak and The Springfield where my go to boozers back then.
Had a pint in there before the last Goodison derby for old times sake. Sad news if not unexpected but will always have fond memories of the place.
Loved The Springfield back then

Was the last of the locals to put free scran on after the match.
Slightly off tangent but I really, really miss my tray of pie chips and curry sauce from the Chinese a couple of doors up. £5 that's all it cost. Compare that to our new place.
Spellow still goin? Havent been in for ages..

Fair few now gone from here

I know it was well loved but the biggest memory i have of it on match days was not being to get anywhere near the door, never mind inside.
