Watford are the fear for me, 6 foot 7 GK who would be a nightmare if it went to pens, a team that puts 10 behind the ball and hits on the break. You then have Deeney who whilst a relatively poor player is a leader on the field and will have their players up for it.

Just out of interest, what would people think of a scheme were season ticket holders who don't think the cup matters that much donating them to unemployed fans.

We got Wigans manager! I would say go forth etc.
But winning a trophy after all these years would he be a hero?

There are only 3 rewarded prizes each season. Win a cup, you're one of the three lucky/best (*delete as appropriate) teams.

Personally I think if we won it then everyone who is involved is a legend on the day. Hero is a bit much for anyone just winning a football match in my opinion.

Seen us win the league twice and the cup twice. League pips the cup wins but any other seasons are a long way short of them all.
How often do you here memories of 85/6 discussed in the same way as the 95 cup win

Seeing Everton win a trophy for the first time with my grandfather would be a dream come true. After watching crap to mediocrity then the heartache of seeing 2009's squad lose the final, it would be nice to have that celebratory mood in the blue half of Merseyside.

Two decades is about 10-15 years too long for a club steeped in tradition. I can forgive Roberto for 24 months of crap if it means we have to break the losing streak.
