You must not know West Ham. They leak out stories of their "attempts" to sign big names to pull the wool over their supporters eyes. Although not especially effectively as most West Ham fans I know see this too.

Just this summer they've had Sky link them to Pastore (already "pulled out" of that deal) and Felipe Anderson which you will soon see they've pulled out of as well.

Add to that rumours of the Lord of the Undead, Pelligrini, already falling out with them over transfers.

I’d rather we just take our time, let Brands and Silva assess everything thoroughly, then raid the window. Im normally a glass half full type, but so far the lack of action, combned with Brands talks of assessing the squad, promoting the youth and Moshiri not spending like last summer all scream of we only will spend once we sell the deadwood which isnt ideal.

Im not buying that Silva/Brands dont know atleast 1 position in the starting 11 that needs strengthening.

Alternatively we see these guys flop at the world cup and save ourselves some pain or money. Maybe some time shopping outside the tournament might do us some favours - Italy, Holland, Championship prospects. And selling our players who aren't at the cup (most of them).
