Think that was more because of the fella Naisy is. Was a great club embassador, Did loads for charity. I think it was more down to liking the fella in general. Lukaku has scored us a ton of goals but spent most of his away time looking for a move.
The club isnt at his level yet ...we get it....but there are ways to conduct yourself without disrespecting the club or its continued fight for europe. This should have been discussed at season end....Not with ten games to go.

I'd rather just enjoy watching a top class forward slot for Everton. Whether he stays or goes, after years of dross up front, I'm just happy to see an Everton player be the favourite for the golden boot.

Also I don't believe him staying is out if the question. Almost every season he's been here, many thought it would be his last. But booing him probably isn't going to improve his chances of staying. And I believe he, like us, wants Everton to be better and win trophies. Ultimately we have a better chance of doing that with a striker like him.

I think in the years to come Stephen Naismith will be remembered with more affection by Evertonians than Romelu Lukaku will.
