We've had better players in the past and we'll have better in the future. I really don't get the hype. His ego doesn't match his level or his consistency on the pitch. He scored the majority of his goals last season against lower opposition. He wants to be on the big stage but he bottled it against Utd in the semis of the FA Cup last year. He'll probably do it at a team he wants to be a part of with better players but I've watched him spoof his way with a team full of top class players in Belgium so I don't see how things will change that much. Anyway, he's not going anywhere unless a club pays north of 80 million. Everton hold all the aces.

No, Rom's made his position very clear and pretty much has from day one, he wants CL football early in his career and isn't getting it here so he wants out. I don't really have a problem with that, and it's now down to Rom, and, more accurately, his agent, to persuade someone like Chelsea or Man Utd that he's good enough to warrant spending the sort of money we're likely to accept for him, which, despite the reported 100 million being reported, is likely to be something in region of 85 to 90 million.

Chances are, Rom will leave and I doubt there's anything Moshiri can say to change that, and, with the situation as it is, I'm not even sure he'd waste his breathe on it. But there's a small possibility that Rom might stay and end up with a sizeable lump of egg on his face. If that happens, it'll be interesting to see how it pans out

Be nice if we could do a swap for equivalent player value, then tell Riola to do one for his percentage.
Zouma, B. Traore, Batshuiyi, and Musonda would be a good straight swap.

Or ...

Mata, Martial, Smalling, Tuanzebe, and Fosu-Mensah.

Or ...

Zouma, Batshuiyi, Martial, and Fosu-Mensah ......... Let United and Chelsea fight for which of them gets him for which half of the season.

I understand why he wants to go and he's given us many chances that we can't deny. It's not like he's not tried to get us in the top four

We will set back three four maybe five years when we lose him I believe and we will struggle to replace his goals but that's life

If it was me I'd keep him at least till next season as he has two years left but knowing Everton they will see money signs and be happy to sell. Plus I do think Lukaku only stayed last season to give us one more final chance of making the top four with the promise he could leave otherwise

Ain't bothered if he does convince him or not

Sooner do without him if his hearts elsewhere and his rat of agent is a cancer in football him being around the club isn't good either

I can put up with his annoying public musings while he is battering the opposition goal, which he is sure to do again given 4 seasons of very consistent scoring for us. If we get £100 million for him then fine, sell him, but we'll still get a very solid wedge for him next season if he stays another year especially if he has a good world cup. Given the uncertainty still surrounding Barkley, it would be a massive setback if both leave the club in the same window.

Four and five years ago we finished 5th and 6th...

Well Koeman doesn't strike me as the kind of man that ' has to say certain things '. If anything he actually tells it like it is and doesn't give a hoot whether you like it or not.

He's hardly gonna tell it like it is by saying he has a poor first touch, doesn't get involved in the build up play and is often anonymous in games now is he? In other words do a Ratner.

He's doing the same as what happened with Calamaity Stones who got bigged up as an "ubelievable talent" (despite often being on the bench) before Man Cty got fleeced of 50m.

The 100m talk is comical. It will blow the Stones rip off out of the water.
