No.

He's one of the greatest strikers in world football.

I hate to say it, but he has outgrown us. He gave us four years to get Champions League football and it never happened.

Mehh... Chelsea didn't want him. He would've sat on a bench. We gave him the best opportunity he had. He wasn't the perfect player when we got him & still isn't, although he's improved a lot. Enough of all this, "He gave us a chance & we blew it" nonsense.

yeah self love is no love and Rom has a large dose of self love going on

I would only want to keep him if he signs a new deal, if not he should go, we cant have players of his ability and age entering the final two years of the contract. It would be great if he did stay, but I just don't see it.

Just hurry up, get him gone and the money spent on quality replacements to give us more options for goals.

I get the feeling that he will be with us next season. It seems like Chelsea have to offload Costa before buying and he's digging his heels in for Atletico since being technically text sacked by Chelsea. Atletico have a transfer ban so unless he fancies sitting on the bench for a while...
United aren't making enough noise to sign him in my opinion. Why would he go and play for Mourinho again who did not rate him enough to play him in the first place. Besides we'll be above Utd come the tail end of next season anyway.

He's gone, definitely. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't even come back to FF for pre season.

However, a tiny part of me thinks will he give it 12 more months with Rooney coming back...

Lukaku wants out, and has done since he refused the new contract. He thinks he's now better than the club and he wants to play CL football, his decision is made. He'll leave this window, and it'll be to Chelsea, the stuff about United is just gameplay aimed at ensuring that they pay through the nose imho. I doubt he'll even be back at FF next week, aside from to empty his locker.

From the way we have gone about our business this pre season I get the feeling that we are looking at lukaku and saying quite simply if you want him he's £100m if not he stays with us. The big problem will be if he stays what will he be like around the team cos we don't need someone to be constantly agitating for a move and unsettling the team when we have already had a big change in the team that will need time to settle down. I do think Koeman is a big enough manager to deal with it but it could be a problem. Plus if he did stay and help to get us champions league the shortfall in his transfer fee from this season to next would be made up with the additional cash we would get for CL qualification. So to get to my point we win either way!

If he doesnt get his move for whatever reason can he really afford to spit his dummy out now that there might be a bit of competition for a starting place? especially coming up to the world cup?

And been well paid for his services. We also played to his strengths which has upped his profile. Time to cash in on him now so we can both move on. I will miss his goals but not the man and certainly not his mouth.

We wont get a better goal scorer in to replace him. However with him we were too one dimensional which was exposed against the better teams.

If we spend his money wisely, which we seem to be doing, then we can spread his goals around the team and be less predictable.

Class player, got no problems with being ambitious. Just can't be arsed with his bleatings to the press. Mate, if you were this world super star- clubs would bid whatever for you & you'd already be gone. Koeman (focused on him being primary goalscorer) and Martinez (improve his passing/link up play, rather than target man role) have played brands of footy all made to improve you, and not necessarily the team. Fed up of him being about himself and not really being a team player.

This being said, I'm one of his biggest fans- just can't be arsed with the circus.
