Think this answers it really. If you want to win the league you're probably going to have to have one of the best strikers in the world. Jelavic is good but he's not going to win games on his own.

How would everyone who is old like me have answered this question in 1981 when we finished 15th, or 1982 when we finished 8th, or 1983 when we were 7th or 1984 when we finished 7th again, 18 points behind Liverpool who had won the title for the 3rd year running???

The following year we won - 13 points ahead of Liverpool.

I am ever optimistic and hopeful that we will win the title in my lifetime.

That memory is the only thing that keeps me going, one day we were s hit and with the same group of players we became almost world beaters. It was a miracle then but its going to take an even bigger miracle now.
