Will Everton EVER win the Premier League??

In your lifetime.

Short of a major miracle it ain't going to happen. So I start thinking this footy lark is a foregone conclusion.

Is the playing field so uneven that a few good wins against the Sky6 and a cup win is the best we can hope for??

It's like winning the crap prizes on those 2p coin machines at the sea side. We're pumping 2p's in and only getting the same fall out the bottom just to put back in and some crap toy cars along the way. All in that epic quest to push that £20 note off the edge when really deep down you know it's glued down.

Are we all secretly pretending we're waiting for something to give.

Is it really all over?

TALK TO ME.

can't see it at the moment, then again, city fans would have laughed at you a few years back when they were in the 3rd division.
will always be proud of our blue boys and nothing will stop me supporting them though

We can live in hope but as it stands I just can't see it. It seems to become more difficult every year as all the clubs around us have investment. Just as we think we are closing the gap they spend more money. It's sad but if we could achieve champions league qualification a few times that alone can steer us onto a different path.

All is not lost who knows with a little bit of luck and a shake up at boardroom level(not saying a billionaire) you never know. Come on 10-15 years ago you wouldn't have expected the kind of money that's in the game today and i'm sure Chelsea and City fans thought exactly the same thing that they would never win it either.

I remain optimistic I have to but going into every season actually knowing with 100% certainty that we are not going to win the league can be bit poop but it's too late I have blue blood and I have to stay on the ride no matter what.

Money is such a big factor now but I do think a well managed and a good team can find themselves competing if there are a few things that happen- a top four finish and a cup win- the money invested wisely and a good run in the champions league- its a knock on effect that puts you in a different position for attracting players, sponsorship and world interest.

Consistency is key and to be consistent you need a squad with depth for a squad with depth you either need money and lots of it or a shed load of youth players come through at the same time.

I still stand by what I said pre-WBA.

We have a team that on its day can beat ANYBODY and EVERYBODY.

But WBA highlighted 1 thing, that players will sometimes play sub par, when it happens, like WBA, when every single player on the pitch plays like a clown, thats when the problems arise.

Who would have thought that a 500k signing from United reserves would be our most pivotal player.

We are only a few players away from competing right now. We just need to have a bit of investment, something which is being prevented by the current custodians' excessive asking price IMO.

There is a fat new TV deal on its way though, so I hope they sell up on the back of that, or at least invest the extra revenue in the playing squad. It may not be all glitz and glamour for Everton, but the clubs who spend wisely will reap the benefits whilst the clubs who piss it up the wall will struggle.

With a fit Darron Gibson and a Landon Donovan on the right hand side, I'd happily see us take any side on. Obviously there is room for improvement beyond that, but I don't think it is improvement that is a million miles away. We just need to invest in boss players as opposed to **** ones.
