3 things can happen
The arse end falls out of football and we reap the benefits of a having a very good base of solid professionals.
OR
We get lucky and find one of the good eggs that are also billionaires.
OR
We have a very good season and actually qualify for the champions league, do a decent enough job and use that money wisely in both the team and ground and stay consistent for a few years building up the team, brand and money making opportunities within the stadium.
The last option may take 5 years, 10 years or 20 but how sweet would it be when it happens (not if)
Not a cat in hell's chance in my lifetime - I was there as a nipper in 1963, 1970, 1985, 1987.. The Lord blessed me with those four (plus the few other bits of silver we won in between).
I just wait for the arse to fall out of footy, and those with monster debts such as Man U, Man C, RedSh*te etc all go to the wall while well run clubs currently living close to their means survive.
It is frustrating though, because you see City having to spend about 500m quid to win the league, then you see the shite spending god knows how much in their efforts to stay in the Premier League, whilst knowing that we would not need half of either of those amounts to become competitive.
We just need a group that is capable of even just some investment at all, the current strategy being employed by Kenwright will get us nowhere.
So that's us out then, as we're far from being a well run club.
It saddens me this poll in a way. The results on the face of it suggests Kopite levels of extreme delusion, but in reality I think most people voting "yes" are doing so as there'd be no reason for supporting a football club like Everton if you didn't always believe on some level that things will come good.
