Will 64 points get us into Europe?

If we can get four wins in the next six games, then I would say 64 points is going to be possible and may be even more?

Here is the next six league game at the moment:

Wigan (A) 3 points
RS (A) 3 points
Chelsea (H) 1 point?
Man Utd (H) 1 point?
Spurs (A) 3 points
Hull (H) 3 points

I think we could be getting our four win off them, we should have 41 points or more by the time we have 10 games left.

And the last 10 games all winnable and 64 points is certainly not out of the question here, I think.

If we will all 3 of those away games then we can talk about 64 points or even more. But those are 3 massive away games and any one of them will be a struggle to win, it's not impossible the way that we're playing, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I love threads like this.

As previously mentioned, we have a very nice-looking last 10 games, with Villa away being the only one I'd say "yeah, I'd accept a point beforehand realistically" (of course, depends on each side's respective form going into the game). The other 9 are all games I think we should be winning, if we take them singularly.

The next 5-6 games are a case of getting what we can. I'd like to think we can do Wigan, and at least a point from Anfield. Hull at home you would like to think is a nailed on 3 points. Can we sneak a win against Man Utd, Chelsea or Spurs? I'd say we can get a win from that. 4 points from those 3... have a feeling we'll get beat at some point there.

Of course, just hoping this would happen that's all.

Let's work on Wigan tomorrow and then the Merseyside Derby, we should go into each game aiming for a win, and hopfully the ending product is what we wanted.

go on the bbc website and do the predictor i had us coming 7th with 59 points i think that will get us in europe again

Been having a look at our remaining fixtures and reckon we'll end up with 64pts. No doubt some of my wins will turn out to be draws and vice versa (predicted only a draw at analfield but that because they are such lucky barstewards when we play them!) but 64 it is for me.

Any thoughts?

when the fixtures came out the first thing i looked at was our last 10 games. We have been blessed this year. With our poor start and recent improvement we should be aiming for Europe.

We are still 7-8 points adrift, but if we close that gap then we can snatch a European spot. Imagine how annoyed Villa, City, Spurs etc would be if we finished above them.

I'm telling you. A good start to the season is not always what its cracked up to be.

For a start lets nail the 3 popints tomorrow at JJB. BTW I do not like that Martinez his football is all about physical and kicking.

i always have a spreadsheet in work charting our season and i'll always puts a prediction at the bottom. this year i went with 4th and 71 pts. easily achieved, it means we can still lose 2 of the reaming games to get this figure. perhaps chelsea home and villa away will be our stumbling blocks but i can honestly see us winning the rest.

and oh yes it's on.(y)

Well this guy is just a dick.
