Why don't Everton have a TV channel?

Boring boring Everton? Why have that attitude? Why not have a positive attitude ? That view you hold is a predictable one, and one which I do not agree with. We should be making the most of our history and a TV channel is a great way to catch up with our true rivals.

Not even sure what you're on about here tbh.

It is not a financially viable option, and for a team in our position that is the primary concern.

if 20,000 people paid £5 a month to access a TV channel on Sky, how much would the club make? The benefits that can't be measured would surely be worth it.

You can get the pub channel for a skydiver lid.

Full of boss stuff like Gastro pubs-middlesborough, Pies or Pasties for driving up non wet sales

or driving footfall through sport, pool table or dart board

and this corker. Bar staff, mumsy or students for advanced age punters.

Looking at the BT deal a lot of this stuff will be moving online.

The number of people who watched television at least once a month declined seven percent in 2011, according to a recent poll by the Nielsen company.

The survey of fifty countries found that the numbers of people who viewed an online video increased to 84 percent showing a shift from watching preprogrammed television shows.

The data also show a decline in subscription for the local cable providers, suggesting that many people are using new technologies and devices that make it easier for them to watch the content they want whenever and wherever is most convenient for them.

Traditional TV is going the way of the dinosaur. There is absolutely _zero_ reason for Everton to create a traditional television station at this point.

Neither was I, but I was hoping you'd help! I just think it's predictable to assume a tv channel would be too costly and not gain us anything. I think that view is wrong.

How is it predictable mate? It's more likely factual. Having a tv channel doesn't determine if Everton are ace or not.

I agree we should be looking at any way to increase revenue though. It's a good thing that our fans like yourself are looking to help make the club a few quid.

Nah they take up enough of my life and popcorn me far too much as it is. If we had a tv channel I'd probs just watch it all day every day frothing at the mouth.

They bought the license for a tv channel once then scrapped the idea. About 4/5 years ago, IIRC.

Club TV stations are nothing but propaganda mouthpieces any rate, and by spouting that we are the 4th most successful club means nothing these days. Most bells who watch club TV think english footie only started when the PL started, and in that context, we are pretty average in the "success" stakes.

OK, ever present, fair enough, but 1 top 4, 1 FAC, and one losing final, doesnt exactly get the global audience to dig into their wallets does it?
