The league is a write off, but we've still got the Europa League and FA Cup.

I think he should pick a list of average players, announce his interest, let old melted candlestick face spend his budget on them and then buy the decent players in the summer without the Spuds hijacking the bids.
 
My brother keeps banging on, and has done for years, that we bought the wrong Bent and we should have gone for Darren bent. He'd still like us to have a pop at him too.

For me I think we need a right sided midfielder, that Benga lad would do. Pienaar can be interchangeable right across the midfield, so for me a right sided midfielder would be ideal. We also need cover at left back for Baines, not sure who I'd want to see in there but I'd definitely like to see a signing there. And the other obvious would be a CB. I think that Duffy kid can come in and do a good job mind, so I'm not so sure about the CB position now.

Got a life thanks, but I'd love to know how you can read that into my post. :blink:

I'm just not so quick to write off our season as you seem to be. I don't necessarily disagree with you in regards to signing just for the sake of it, but there's still a hell of a lot to play for. And, since you are assuming that at some stage in the season everyone will be fit & healthy all at the same time, the planets will also align & dogs & cats will start living together...then hell yeah, take the rest of the season off.:D
 
I would like him to sign me on a one off payment of a million quid. He could bring me on for the last ten minutes of the derby and i promise to break up gerrard so he cant play against us ever again and when carragher comes running over knock the living s**t out of him, get banned but worth it.
