Who was your hero growing up?

Don't kill me but Bryan Robson

For Everton Kevin Ratcliffe

That like is for Ratcliffe, by the way  we don't see much mention of our most successful captain ever round here, funnily enough.

Same. Southall came before Everton funnily enough. I idolised Nev as a kid, and then Everton naturally followed.

Aye...Cottee might've been my childhood hero and I still respect his contribution a lot, but Big Nev is my favourite player of all time. He was the key that made us great.

That's why we need to sign an absolute Top Top goalie this summer.

Graeme Sharp was the player I always wanted to be when having a knock a about with my mates as kid.

Who am I kidding though. I was in awe of the greatest player I've ever seen, Diego Maradona. He was my real hero growing up.

Yeh I was that big man.

Lads I met Bruce at the weekend and he asked if I played Rugby because I was 'chunky' Cheers fella ;-)

That like is for Maradona...Greatest Ever. After him I'd probably go Zidane then Messi. I genuinely believe had Rooney stayed with us he would've developed into a real one-of-a-kind flair, a massive hero for all generation of fan. Not Messi level perhaps, but someone like a George Best with bags of insane skills to cherish forever.

Tho' can't argue with the career the lad has had since Ferguson drilled that same workmanlike ethic into him he did with Giggs (iron out unpredictable flair, add consistent workrate).
