Dele Alli kept us up.

So not a disaster for me.

He’s going to be back here in the summer with a year left to leech off us and we won’t even be able to play him because we can’t afford to pay any money for him. So a disaster imo.

He didn’t buy Alli or Van de Beek, he wasn’t even in the job at that time, and our director of football bought McNeil and Maupay.

He signed them both in January. I’ve heard Lampard give the exact same anecdote reported by Arry in this article:

He’s had more than one window tbh. He’s told everyone about how he was already pursuing Dele Alli before Uncle Harry recommended him in January. He brought in Van de Beek as well. Both were poor. He’s then bought two forwards in the summer that are apparently so useless that they need replacing already. It feels like he needs an awful lot of help just to not be the worst we’ve ever been.

All 3 joined on the exact same day, Lampard wasn’t even being considered until the day before as it was 90% certain to be Vitor Pereira, it changed very quickly because of both fan backlash and that bizarre Sky interview he did

Mate the facts are that Lampard and Arry have told the same anecdote in which Arry phoned Lampard to advise that he should sign Dele Alli as Everton manager, and Lampard told him he was already signing him as Everton manager.

The Pereira Sky interview was on 26th January, and Pereira was basically crying because it had become clear he wasn’t going to get the Everton job. It was a full on whinge!

VDB had offers from Palace but he chose Lampard at Everton. He wasn’t going to sign for a managerless Everton.

In truth, it was clear Lampard was getting the job from at least the time that Pereira was whinging on Sky.

It’s not, it was good as done that Pereira was going to be the manager to the point bookies suspended betting on him then the Sky interview happened, then Lampard came into the running

Lampard has said nothing about replacing either Maupay or McNeil.

What he has said, is that, in the light of Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s on going injury / fitness problems, is that we need to strengthen the forward line.

Which, is not the same, as the false narrative, that’s being spun on here, as fact, by the usual suspects, about replacing Maupay and McNeil.

I think in the last 48hours the more serious issue is if Frank is given permission to speak to the FA.
We, Everton must act.
Either we get assurances he is staying ie ££millions from Frank if he walks.
Or we replace him now.Dont let Frank take charge of the three games, or Buy players for the squad only to walk mid Jan.
This news will undoubtedly unsettle our squad, cast doubts on our ability to recruit the strikers players we need.
Franks vision might not be a new mans.
