Who should replace Frank Lampard?

I really want Frank to succeed here, I was watching Loose Women earlier, presented by Christine Lampard, parenting skills was the subject, a picture of Lampard's two children were shown & both had Everton tops on, brought a tear to my eyes !!

Well it rather depends upon the quality of the players at your disposal, the injuries suffered and the good luck or otherwise with refereeing and VAR decisions.

Frank may well have his limitations, even Ancelotti (arguably one of the greatest managers ever to have lived) struggled to get this lot to perform. You are comparing apples with oranges and I guess you probably know this. I'm sure you would have been in the Kendall out brigade pre-84 FA cup success.

On this forum we have lists as long as your arm of poor players, almost all of whom were inherited by Frank from a range of 10 managers in 9 years (including interim spots) with fundamentally different ideas on how the team should be structured. This was not the case for Mike Walker, who inherited a stable, but inadequate, squad; managed previously by our best ever manager and one of our best ever midfielders.

But let us not let facts interrupt anything.

We were bang in form till the United game, it’s been a slump since but we’ve had a break to get everything out the system with all bar 4 members of the squad around so let’s just give him and the squad a chance to prove it over these next few weeks eh?

Bang on that.

After the derby was taking with loads of people in the pubs around the ground and there was a general consensus that we were heading in the right direction. The feeling was (and I believe still is with the match going fans by and large), that when we inevitably hit a sticky patch we shouldn’t soil the bed and need to ride it out.

I think things will pick up if we have a little patience. Unfortunately this is an alien concept to some of the keyboard warriors on here.
