Who should replace Frank Lampard?

This is not as daft as it sounds - and therein lies a lot of the problem...and if he could work in Moyes or Martinez as some sort of 'dream team double act' he would.

I've just slagged off @samsonthedog1 for flights of fancy - I take it back mate, nothing is too daft for this club.
Christ, can you imagine this group of players playing Martinez ball? There would be nothing more Everton than rehiring a manager that failed here, that just failed with a Belgium team packed with world class talent just because he's a nice guy and Teflon Bill likes him.
No doubt Big Dunc would be in his top 5 list.

We as always if Lampard did go (and i don't think he will), be linked to utter rubbish like usual, we must be the only team that get linked to rubbish managers, while Rooney/Ferguson (or even Unsworth as no doubt he would) just because they played for Everton, should not even get a mention, heck i almost think Ferguson is wating in the back ground to get a call to come back to us myself

What’s the one big difference that those clubs could offer Emery and Lopetegui that we likely couldn’t offer a Tuchel or Pochettino

Well we have bigger revenues than either of those 2 clubs and throw in a naming rights deal for BMD it wont be long before our FFP is sorted and we can spend again.

We aint going to be restricted forever hence why we need to be offering a good level manager a long term project.

The time it comes to us being able to spend the likes of Villa and Wolves will be in the position we're in now due to their last few seasons of lavish spending.

Its all a cycle.

West Ham are on the same points as us.
He failed to keep Sunderland up.
He’s not the Moyesiah he’s just another failing manager,
Yeah West Ham won’t go down and Pep wouldn’t have kept Sunderland up at that point, they got relegated from the Championship the following year.

I lack your crystal ball so all I can say is that at this point West Ham are in exactly the same position as us.
It would be utterly illogical to sack Lampard for Moyes.
It would also be another divisive appointment.

I struggle to think of any other football club who have made such a catalogue of consecutive bad decisions in terms of every aspect of running it- from managerial appointments, to directors of football to transfer business. Even if you tried to run things so badly I think you’d accidentally end up getting some things right. If it was happening to someone else it would be startlingly impressive.

Could you imagine the dressing room?

"So, your team was as bad as us, and you're here to save us?"
