So who really owns England's top clubs? We're waiting to find out - Telegraph

I know this will probably do little to dissuade the people who question who's behind Earl but still, thought it might be of interest.

What really interests me is the net worth of them and the price they paid for the shares and also the level of "investment" they have given to the Club.

I cant find any details for BK, but I know that Woods is worth around £40m and Earl £100m+.

None of them could be considered rich, but its been said that none of them have invested 1 penny into the Club other than to buy the intial shares.

That's the nature of investment isn't it? You don't buy shares in a company and then expect to pay out extra to fund their operations. Even Abramovich is only loaning money to Chelsea.

Granchester is an intresting one, he is heir to Moores fortune - worth billions - admittedly tied up in property and investments but finacial clout none the less.

As i keep saying someone could buy a majority stake in Everton without Bills shareholding.

Personally i think much of the reason we havent been taken over is the complex shareholding of the club compared to other clubs - even if someone was to buy Woods, Earls and Bills shares they still wouldnt 100% own everton - the shareholding is diverse.

Granchester reportedly has a chunk of shareholding mate - the rest are in private ownership, fans, famlies etc. Think a few on here have the odd share.

Bruce Wayne would probably know more but if you get to 30%-ish (I believe) you have to make a formal bid for all shares. This is part of the manoeuvring going on at Arsenal at the moment.

Its think its somewhere close to 90% for Everton mate for compulsory purchase to take place, we are a private buissness - the rules are goverend by the UK company act i think.

i've never realised that this lord grantchester was who he is, if his rift hasnt been healed i bet theres some right bill baggin' goes on in the tap room of "the'arl palace of westminster" cos i believe andy burnham has fallen out with bill over kirkby.

i cant believe how much this guy is worth, yet we arent seeing any of it, he owes it to the man he inherited his fortune from.

woods is nothing more than bk's puppet , bill and earl mainly own everton (on paper) but both are puppets for phillip green.

green financially backed kenwright (or so im told) and himself admits he is bk's 'advisor' on club matters.

he is also rumoured to be tied to earl's bcr sports and by his own admission 'advises' him also , aswell as sits in his place at board meetings when earl is out the country (which is most of the time).


tax dodger green clearly pulls the strings and nothing gets done without his imput and opinion.he is our owner/chairman by proxy.

after reading an article posted on toffeeweb a week or so ago , personally i would love the premiership to investigate in depth greens dealings with our club and what power he has over our board so we actually know the truth once and for all.
