Catterick? 2 titles and 1 FA Cup each. In Kendall's favour he has a Cup Winners Cup aswell, but could you argue that is cancelled out by signing the likes of Mitch Ward, Claus Thomsen and Tony Thomas in his 3rd spell?

I dont even consider HKIII as a serious matter. It's just his first spell for me.

Possibly you could say that Catterick had it over HK in that he built two titile winning teams whereas HK had basically the same core he used for 85 and 87; however, HK gave us European stature as winners of a trophy.

HK for me.

This is how deeply the Moyes/Kenwright bubble of bullshiit has permeated the Everton Pysche. There was no fluke at all in winning that cup. They've made it so an Everton trophy could only be the result of a fluke. Bollocks

We took on the best team in the country and beat them on the biggest stage, then we repeated it a few months later.

Why??? Because the man in charge knew that EFC shouldn't ever lie down for anyone.

Thats why people picking Moyes over him are bad Geoffs.

Lol your right, Royle won cup after cup in his 3 years there and it was in no way a fluke that a team that finished 15th, 6th, and 15th in his time there one it. I am one bad Geoff for thinking a non fluke is something that could be repeated rather than being a lucky one off.
Fk sake Moyes for making me misunderstand the very concept of luck.

league positions have no bearing on whether a cup win was a fluke or not. We thoroughly deserved that cup win, deservedly beating 3 of the best teams in the land on the way to winning it.

He took over a side rock bottom and straight away turned over our local rivals who were streets ahead of us. Something Moyes has failed to do time after time. He kept us up comfortably. Something Moyes gets loads of credit for despite the fact the situation Joe took over was far more serious.

The next season he finished sixth with a squad of largely poor footballers.

The season after he was in a poor position when he lost his job. Moyes who was in an equally poor position after his first full season kept his.

Now Joe never lost a derby. Important??? For me it's massive. Joe won two honours giving most Evertonians under 30 the best day of their lives. Important??? For me it's massive.

I'm still not sure how winning FA CUP game after game then beating the best side in the country twice is a fluke though? How many teams in the history of that cup have retained it? Surely then all cup wins are flukes.

Nobody's ever retained the CL in the modern era. Was every win a fluke?

Perhaps I'm the Geoff for advocating winning trophies???

even won at Anfield

Spot on this.

The attitude from Moyes has filtered down now, into too many fans. Its almost the norm now, to have such a negative (Wigan / Fulham / Bolton / Stoke type) attitude.

If Moyes stays, he could well keep us 6th - 8th EVERY season, and a decent pat on the back for that, will be his 70k a week.

But what really is the difference between 6th and 10th THIS season, is it not just midtable ??
!!
I would rather win the cup and finish 10th / 11th.

Moyes is just dour, misserable and has been great at creating a new meaning to the term 'Succsessfull Everton'.

About 4mil, a new player/not losing a player, wages for a quality signing.
Other than that, being above Liverpool, confidence, the amount of enjoyable weekends as we pick up those extra points etc...
Never mind, best just to ignore the whole season until the last weeks, turn on and see how we did because the rest of the year doesnt matter.
Personally I get a buzz from getting 3 points on a weekend, but if you only enjoy winning cups and nothing else then good luck to you as an Everton fan, guess it explains the need for melodrama if you've not enjoyed a game for over 20 years.

Crickey, you're a bit dramatic  I think we all enjoy a good game of footy and going for 3 points mate.

Wish we could have conversations like this without insulting fellow blues, like.

Ihaters is a good sort and shouldn't be called names just for having a slightly different opinion.
