Who is taking over Cahill

Anyone else love the idea of a dominant Rodwell

For me this is still the dream:

-------Howard
Coleman Jags Jonny Baines
-------- Felli Gibson
--Donovan Osman Pienaar
--------Jelavic

Would love to see this:

Howard

Coleman - Jagielka - Heitinga - Baines

Gibson - Fellaini

Naismith - Osman - Pienaar

Jelavic

To be honest, would like Barkley in Osman's position, but he'll get his chance from the bench initially.

We also have Rodwell who will hopefully push Gibson for his place, and Gueye who could take the left sided slot with Pienaar moving central. If we had Donovan too, he could play on the right with Naismith pushing central.

All in all - we're not short of options in Cahill's role, though none of them are quite in Tim's mould. They'll look to create more, whereas Tim looked to arrive late and finish.

As such, our style will change somewhat, inevitably, but I don't see it as a bad thing.

This team is ideal, and is actually balanced so its possible. Barkley in attacking mid would be frightening, but I suspect he'll come off the bench in the last 20 to go on the wing.

When played centrally Osman is a great player - runs all day, determined, good touch, quick feet and links well with the players around him - when he's pushed out wide his performances suffer. I think we play better as a team when he's playing in the centre so hopefully Naismith (ideally Donovan) will play on the right and Osman will play centrally - i'm not fussed who gets put further forward out of him and Fellaini.

Agree with everything other than Coleman right back. I think Donovan's good enough to create even with Hibbert behind him. I actually though Hibbert's crossing and forward play was improved last season and Coleman for me can be pretty naive in his defending

Yeah forgot about Osman best position being behind the striker, maybe its Osman time now for the role which will put naysmith on the right, recken the position is open right now to any of the players, pienaar, osman, naysmith, rodwell, barkley, fellaini.

I think Moyes will go for:

_________Howard
Neville Heitinga Jagielka Baines
_______Fellaini Gibson
Osman _____________Pienaar
______Naismith
_____________Jelavic

It'll be Fellaini or Naismith depending on how Naismith settles and how good he is on the right. Surprised there are so many who don't want Fellaini up there, we were brilliant towards the end of the season when he was moved there. Defenses hate playing against him, he creates room for Jelavic and he still has an impact on the midfield.

This is our argument, he's been brilliant as a holding midfielder for 2 years straight.

I'll take him anywhere though he's so sexy.

Rodwell has to step up, or just do something this season. I'm so sick of hearing that he'll come good. Chuck him in the deep end, tell him to perform or [Poor language removed].
