What worries me is that everybody assumes he will save us from relegation if he comes...

At Palace he had Bentecke and at Sunderland he had Defoe as proven premiership strikers; at Everton he has?

At Palace and Sunderland he had good solid defenders that he could utilise...At Everton he has Williams, Jagielka, Keane, Schneiderlin...

He said after the Leicester match that the pivotal point for any team being threatened by relegation is the Festive Season period where you have 15 points to play for in 12 days...he will have only the above to get him those points...

Appointing Fat Sam is not a slam-dunk to avoiding relegation as everybody thinks...

I follow the team not a manager, I didn't get a season ticket because foeman was manager. I had my season ticket before and I will have my season ticket after big sam has gone. get behind the team
Same for me,I've been going since I was a young lad in 1976,and have probably had a S.T for around 30 of those seasons. Allardyce, like many other figures (some legendary, some not so)is just passing through. Maybe as I'm getting older,I just don't get as wound up about it as I used to(and I really did used to!),just see football (at this level)as the soap opera that it is,with it's heroes and villains, good guys and bad guys,it's melodramas and various twists and turns (who'd have thought of the situation that we find ourselves in right now, would have come about back in the summer?). I meet up with my mates on County Road after the match, shake my head or laugh at loud at some of the things I hear from the various characters you come across round there after the game, head into town for a few pints and then the chippy on the way home,it's a routine that I like and Everton's status,Allardyce,Moshiri,Kenwright,Walsh,Lee or whoever, isn't gonna stop me from doing that.

He walked out on Palace, if he done that to us... which is entirely plausible, or we sack him (based on an 18 month contract), then all those who haven't renewed, well they'll be at home whilst we could be watching good football, under a good manager, for that reason alone, I will be signing up again!

Oh and £50 a month is barely noticeable is it?

Cryogenics........

If fat Sam is here beyond this season who will renew their season ticket?

I for one could not stomach the idea of watching him on the touch line and his style of football we have become so small time and a laughing stock.
Most of you will...
even if it all turns to custard, most of you will.
If it Really goes bad there'll be more to worry about
If we do well, all of you will
If we win something you'll all be singing his name

Save you faux outrage for the real culprits The Board.

Hw walked out on Palace saying that's it i'm done with football, i've repaired my reputation after England and don't want the stress of working in football management ever again so now i'm going to enjoy retirement with my grandchildren. So for all those people saying he's guaranteed to avoid relegation - he isn't - his mind has been in retirement mode for months before he walked out on Palace. You don't just wake up and say that's me done i'm going to retire now today. He is one cluster*ck of a choice to lead our club.

I support Everton Football Club and that includes supporting the manager.

The only way I would give up my season ticket is if we appointed a murderer or other violent criminal as manager.

Big Sam is not everyone's cup of tea, but as blues we have a duty to get behind the lad. We've seen how bad things get when fans abuse their own players and manager.
