Sinister? No, do you. Funny though he never mentions his mates when he talks about going in the boy’s pen, it came naturally to you. Stop this Davids, you’ve got me feeling sorry for Billy Boy now, maybe he was Billy No Mates. I’m nearly in tears here, thanks to you.
Maybe he didn't have friends who were interested in football. My oldest friend was born close to Upton Park, never went to a game in his life. Does happen you know.

Did you see much of your friend? He lived a long way from Liverpool, or did you live in London as well? Tell you what, you’d have made a great friend for Billy the way you defend him.

Well hes not really though is he because we have been relegated in the past (though I don't know if club chairman was a thing back then as such). And nobody is worse than Johnson. Yeah we won the FA cup with him but that does't make up for everything else that happened under him.

What damage has been done realistically anyway? We were fighting relegation more often than not before he took over. We had been crap for years before he took control (though he was still on the board as you mentioned so can shoulder some of that blame).

We have been a bog average top flight team since around 1989. We may have been staggeringly dull and average but we have not been damaged either.
Kenwight has done more damage to the club then Johnson was able to do. The entire culture of the club has shifted for the worse under his stewardship. All the way though the 90's we where terrible. The difference then was everyone knew it and was furious at where we were as a club.

There was a change in the clubs culture around the early 2000's when mediocrity was not only accepted but embraced, a prefect example of that would be the "magnificent 7th" DVD that came out after 2002-03. We as a club celebrated finishing 7th! In the 90's we where capable of winning the odd derby both home and away. Again this stopped when there was a culture shift at the club in the early 2000's. Winning a derby was no longer somthing we should expect but somthing to daydream about as though the RS where some sort of unassailable opponent.

Johnson would of done more damage if he'd had the time to do so, but he didn't. We have won nothing while Kenwight has been here, and we've had more then a few utterly shameful periods during this time to. This is the longest stretch in the clubs entire history without a trophy. That is the legacy of Bill Kenwight at Everton football club.

All of this is beside the point anyway. The orignal discussion was who done more damage to the club between Mosh and Kenwight and its insane that anyone would say anything other then Kenwight.

THIS. ALL.DAY.LONG.

We went from NSNO to "knives to gunfights" and "finishing 7th is like winning the league for Everton" - a quote attributed to our captain... the biggest parasite ever to walk on Goodison's pitch.

We were not really celebrating coming 7th as such though, it was just a name for a DVD. I doubt he monitors stuff like that anyway, that would be the marketing team.

I agree with a lot of what you have said there but a lot of it strikes me as a Moyes thing than a Kenwright thing, maybe a mix of the two.

NSNO is just a slogan int he same way that Aston Villa are not "Ready" all the time for example. It doesn't really mean much (would be nice if it did).

Mate, we've been mediocre and average for the majority of our existence. Why do people think we have an entitlement to the top positions?

9 leagues, 5 F.A cups, and one cup winners cup really isn't that impressive. We're not this massive, successful club everyone seems to think we are.

What's happening now and under Kenwrights reign isn't anything new for Everton. We've been here long before he got involved, and we'll be here long after he's gone. We'll bubble along the top division not really doing much, having the odd season here and there where we look a good team that could threaten the top positions, maybe win a cup every now and then, even pick up a cheeky league title. If we're very lucky we might just strike lucky and have a few years of sustained success like the 80 but we'll soon go back to where we belong, irrelevantly floating 6th and 17th not really doing anything of note.

That's just what Everton are unfortunately and if it wasn't Kenwright it would've just been someone else to look over another decade or two of mediocrity.

Cheer up mate, it might never happen.
