It started off with Joe Royle as a kid then as I realised I came from a short family it morphed into Duncan McKenzie, then as I relaised I had very limited skill it became Andy King, as I could always run around a lot in midfield. Eventually Peter Reid became the one I most wanted to emulate. Sadly now its 40 years too late

I was 13 when Bally signed so realized I would never be that good (he was the best). Before then I always loved Jimmy Gabriel and tried unsuccessfully to be like him, loved Gabby when I was little.
