If it wasn't for VAR we'd be 6th already. Carlo can get us putting a run together and we can still pip united. I believe it'll be a failure to finish below the current arsenal team, whilst Sheff utd and Palace will drop off eventually. Wolves are weird, crap against crap teams, of which there are so many. Spurs will struggle without kane too, but will still be good enough for top 5/6 eventually.
Wolves have played 38 games so far, they got Utd in the FA cup and Europe still, good chance they could run out of steam.
We just need to win our games and focus on us

Agree; we have our Man City home and away out of the way, and Liverpool away done as well.

We can, on our day, beat any other team, as well as Liverpool at Goodison (they looked very leggy against Tottenham yesterday, lucky to win).

Let's continue winning and see where we end.

They drew with a Newcastle 2nd string yesterday and lost to Watford the week before... But did the double over man City. Weirdos ha thankfully there's about 17 Newcastle in this league this season and only 3 man city's.

This league is terrible this season. Only the top 3 have been good and Norwich at the bottom turd. The rest have been average, poor and very inconsistent. You could just jumble them all up and wouldn’t be surprised at their positions in the league.

I know and yet they have beaten Man City lol

And yet all 7 English teams have proressed in Europe. Is it really that terrible?

Or more competitive? Finally.

The general standard around the world is crap now. There's too many games and too much money. The RS are so successful purely because of how hard Klopp has them trying, talk about it being one of the best prem teams ever is laughable, the quality of their squad bar 4 or 5 is still fairly average.

Massive game next weekend considering the teams around us all play each other /tough games

Arsenal vs Sheffield Utd

Southampton vs Wolves

Watford vs Spurs

Man City vs Crystal Palace

A scrappy win on the road could hypothetically see us just 1-2 points off 6th spot.

West Ham away is a tough game though, Haller is due a goal and a threat from set pieces, Lanzini always seems to bag against us and Anderson/Snodgrass are dangerous from set pieces.

Can see us dropping points in honesty but would probably take a point if offered with them fighting for their lives.

Even if we played ourselves into contention we saw how we reacted to pressure in the Liverpool game. Our problem is exactly the same as around 10 other teams in the league: we are good enough to go on a run of wins but we are also bad enough to go on a run of defeats.

I don't think we will realistically finish above any of Arsenal, Spurs, United, Chelsea and Wolves so best case scenario is 9th.

We'll get ourselves in contention for 5th or 6th and then when it comes down to getting into them positions, we'll bottle it against a team we should probably beat.

Similar to the Fulham game last season when we could've had 7th.

You can guarantee that if we go on a run then all those teams around us will too.

Next 4 fixtures:
JAN18 @ West Ham
JAN21 VS Newcastle
FEB1 @ Watford
FEB8 VS Crystal Palace

One would think those are all winnable matches. A good 4 week stretch against opposition we should be beating would likely see us in 5th.

I think 7pts. from the 12 on offer is more realistic, and would think that'd put us at 7th.

Follow that up with the toughest stretch of our season:
FEB23 @ Arsenal
MAR1 VS Man Utd
MAR7 @ Chelsea
MAR14 VS RS
MAR21 @ Norwich
APR4 VS Leicester
APR11 @ Spurs

Realistically I see 8 pts. from 21 on offer. Thats 15 pts. from the next 11 matches for a total of 43pts at 33 matches played. That would be 3 less than last year at that stage and likely see us 10/11th.

The run in:
APR18 VS Southampton
APR25 @ Wolves
MAY2 VS Aston Villa
MAY9 @ Sheffield
MAY17 VS Bournemouth

I see 11 pts. from 15 available. Thats 54 pts. which is good for a 7th - 9th place finish every year for the last decade or so.

64 points; which is the average needed for a 6th place finish over the last decade, would be an incredible return at this stage and would mean we are beating all the teams outside Sky's top 6 regardless if it's home or away.

In conclusion, expect 7th - 9th, and if we achieve a 6th place finish and European football, Ancelotti should be in contention for manager of the year.

We have decent players?

In my opinion the players that need to be shipped out:

Michael Keane
Tom Davies
Theo Walcott
Sigurdsson
Schneiderlin
Cuco Martina
Fabian Delph
Alex Iwobi

Theres far too much deadwood in our squad. I haven't got a clue why Fabian Delph was bought. The mans made of glass and is always injured. Arsenal fans we're made up when Iwobi was sold and now we know why, hes [Poor language removed].
I'd keep Iwobi the rest you mentioned can all go.
