Plenty have gone on after playing for City or Rovers, (Andy Cole, Abraham, spring to mind) but actual locals, its pretty grim. I would guess Rob Newman who was in Mike Walkers Norwich side and a Rovers defender, John Scales, who started well for Liverpool before exploding is about it.

edit. But to balance it up, in the 2007 RWC final, at one point, about half the England team had come through the Bristol rugby system. Go figure.
