Where Next For Everton

2014? Are you about 12 years old?! There has been very little to get excited about since the late eighties!
Yeah mate there was nothing exciting about Everton when we got 72 points and smashed our transfer record for one of the best young strikers on the planet

Just realised that not playing this weekend and actually playing in a gameweek feels the same, the rest of the teams seem to actively participating where we are just this blank team that others draw narrative from

If you only get excited when we actually win something then your time supporting Everton must have been even more soul destroying than mine. I wasn't a big Martinez fan even in his first season but any Everton fan who wasn't excited about the possibilities that summer must live a very miserable life.

Realistically, the best we could have hoped for was to finish 5th, as we were never going to break into the top 4. Hardly exciting when you can remember Everton winning the league.

Finish a mediocre 9th in the premiership...

Then sell our dead wood & sign 4/5 quality players...

Our attacking options at present are simply one of the worst in the premiership...

Sarri wants to come here. Using Siva’s MO: great start to the season, then persists on not addressing defence issues, plays players out of position, and remains tactically inflexible despite poor runs of results. Moshiri likes this

If 9th is mediocre.. What's 16th? Where we are more likely to finish

My mates a Sunderland season ticket holder of 19+ years and he said the last 4-5 seasons became a chore going to the SOL and when he had the odd weekend where he couldn't attend he often enjoyed his weekends more.

Thats my fear for myself with Everton - lately I've felt like im losing faith in the club as literally nothing about us gives me hope at present:

Rudderless owner
Kenwright clinging on as chairman
Dour out of depth manager
Spineless players
No leadership from top to bottom.

The question for Everton is do they really want this feeling of apathy spread around the fanbase with BMD around the corner?

I think the stadium and EITC are grand things off the field however first and foremost this is a football club and the powers that be really do need to take a look at how recent seasons are crippling fan morale.

Goodison is toxic these days and it'll be a disaster if that spreads to BMD in the opening season there.
