Ignoring the right back debacle, most of the incomings during his time have been decent. A few dodgy bits here and there, namely the fee and panic timing for Iwobi and Delph. There has been a great deal of misfortune though - JPG is freakishly unlucky. Gomes was destroyed by the nicest man in football (praying for Son still). We've twice had Tosun out of the door only for him to pick up a bad injury. Needless to say we won't be recouping any money for Sigurdsson. Hell, we can't even shift James Rodriguez in the current market so how were we ever gonna offload the likes of Delph, Kenny, Holgate, Davies?

Immediately though on the flip side, similar to this full back issue , he has left us without a key profile of player in successive windows now:

19/20 - No pacey CB to replace Zouma
20/21 - No back up striker with Kean out on loan
21/22 - No back up at fullback other than a Jonjoe we were trying to flog

Hard, really hard actually to form a definitive opinion on this fella purely due to the lack of info and comms from him/around him, from an uninformed outsider looking in it appears he brings nothing to the table, IMO and I know this a simplified, presumptious example but if he was doing his bit and moves that he wanted for any right backs he identified this window were not actioned or vetoed, then surely he'd complain publicly at this point, at the end of the day this fella is watching his own rep go down the sewer in real time and equally he isn't getting any younger so can't afford to take the hit, just can't weigh it up personally

It’s not a tough one to weigh up.

The bloke is happy sitting here earning more than he ever imagined in his wildest dreams working for a company and management that have absolutely zero expectation of him.

Why on earth would he rock the boat by publicly digging out the employer that rewards him so handsomely for his total lack of output?

Zouma is not a pacey CB...

Zouma is not a pacey CB...

I know there are finer nuances when differentiating between speed and pace, but in short, Zouma was far and away our quickest CB when he was on loan here and allowed us to play a higher line.

After not signing him or replacing him with a player of a similar profile, it meant that playing a high line would be suicide or we would have to play deeper.

Van der Beek's agent says he spoke to Brands and Moshiri about Donny coming here on loan. Why would the owner be involved in discussions about a potential loan signing when we have a DOF and a manager? Why is the owner talking directly to the players agent? It all smells of people who don't know their roles tbh

Needs to do better for me as somebody posted about the spurs dof giving an interview . It would be good to hear how he feels it is going and to confirm the direction he wants us to take.

On that Brands tried to get Patterson but Rangers did not want to pl;ay ball also Brands did try to get Jebbison but was again thwarted, both young players to bring on, which is his way of thinking. Carlo's and Rafael's preference is for older players with experience but not much prospect for a future team., look at their trnsfers in., especially James who we just cannot shift.

As tor the other players you mention, Delph, Kenny, etc will have to wait for the contracts to run out, doubt if we can find a club to want them and will they euse?

I'm surprised Brands in his time here hasn't signed any up and coming/those on the cusp of being something special from the Dutch League.

The whole country of Holland is a constant conveyor belt of talent and Brands hasn't bothered with any.

An example is Sven Botman, left Ajax for peanuts and he ended up at Lille, Brands should have been all over that.
