What's wrong with Nikica Jelavic?

Think unfortunately the Jellyman has been figured out. Let's just buy one of the only 6 decent strikers in the world.

He has scored 6 goals this season.

More goals than: Podolski, Benteke, Giroud, Petric, Odemwingie, Holt, Long, Kone, P Cisse.
Same amount as: Aguero, Lukaku, Dzeko, Chicharito, Berbatov.
One goal behind: Torres, Rooney, Tevez.

These are all great strikers. I don't see the problem. Yes, he tend to disappear in some games, and he's missed some sitters, but his scoring record this season is not bad. He's en route to score 12 goals, and if our form peaks after christmas as always, he could easily reach 15+.

I think he's just going through a little barren run. Chances aren't falling etc etc. I believe he's class and it'll come good for him and for us in the New Year.

Nothing, nothing is wrong with him. He's a boss slotter. If Anichebe's little through ball reaches him against Wigan its a goal, and he just had an off day v WH.

Part of it is luck, bounce of the ball etc.

I think it will come. However his chances have been relatively few and far between but when they've come he hasnt taken some that he would of last year.

Just having him up there gives the opposition food for thought though.

Amazingly that's not a million miles from the truth , by the way any issues aren't to do with his agent who is a sound bloke and surprisingly a big Evertonian. Jelavic however is heavily influenced by his 'advisors ' & family members but he is very very happy here . I just believe a few bits being resolved would make him a much happier bloke.

Like I said a month ago not too much to worry about but it really could be if not watched become an issue , nothing however a little brace & a big fat bonus couldn't resolve !

Ps if this makes no sense I'm a bit drunk so apologies

That ties in with something I was told about his uncle.

Plus we didn't want to sign him at first. All makes sense now.

Something similar happened with yobo as well.

It never ceases to amaze me when people don't get that players go in and out of form all the time. It's been happening like that since the dawn of football.

Jelavic isn't in great form right now. He'll bang a few in and then Evertonians will turn their attentions elsewhere. Rinse and repeat.

I think that is a mix. Jelavic is not in a good form and the ball is not coming to him frequently

that old cliche .. 2nd. season syndrome

personally i blame Naismith .. thought he'd have his form buddy from the 'Gers joining him and life would be easier, how wrong could he have been.
