What or who do we actually need to sign?

fox has stated we aint going after relegated players, of course things could change but still. The only way hoilett will come to us is if we 1. find cash & 2. he wants to be playing regular 1st team football, and we're likely to be the highest placed team (in the prem) to offer him that for definate, also he wouldn't have to move. Can't see it happening but heres hoping, i also think getting a striker with the quality of rodallega on a free is a must IMO, i reckon he would do well in a good team, no1's guna have a good scoring record at wigan ffs

Yeah fair enough, I just thought it was a decent read, better than reading the usual sh*te in the papers about half our squad leaving.

Jagielka,Rodwell and at a push Barkley maybe, but Baines, Fellaini, Jela, Heitinga will all be staying, i'm 100% positive. Of course we'll probably only see about £10 million of that £30-35 million we could make from those three, but it could still help us get Sigurdsson and a new center-back.

Jelavic will stay, probably Jags as well, if Johnny has a blinding Euros there will be bids, but erm, Baines and Fellaini, well, its all about the money, it aint about the pricetag.

Seems like everybody's got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night.
When the sale comes first,
And the truth comes second,
Just stop for a minute and
Smile

THT saying Baines would not move to Germany, with Bayern Munich showing interest, So could only see him going to ManU. but they have Evra already and I doubt they would cough up £25m + for him. Fellaini, cough up £30m and they'll talk.

Not sure why Bayern would be interested, they already have a Baines lite in Lahm, superb player by the way.

As regards United, isnt Evra 31? shortly, anyway, they dont pay big moneys, another team in Manchester does tho and they actually do need a LB.

Just sayin.

If you think our board would hold out selling Fellaini until the bids reached £30m then you're putting a lot of faith in them which they have done nothing to deserve.

If a £20m+ bid comes in for Baines or Fellaini i could see them both going.

City have Clichy who's done well for them this season - admittedly not as good as Baines but might make them think twice about paying £20 million+ for Baines.

they got £25m for Lescott and £13m for AJ. that is all.

I can't think of many teams bar City & Maybe Chelsea who would pay £20 mil+ for either of them & both are good for players in both there positions. As crazy as it might sound aswell, Fellaini & Baines could probs get better money at us than at alot of the 'top' teams because of how important they are to us & the new 'financial fair play' rules coming in.

Agree with this, Kenwrights also openly named Felli & Baines as 2 key players he would not sell, We know Moyes rates them both highly & Elstone has said there isn't a need to sell in the summer - all of which points to the conclusion that if they are sold, it won't be on the cheap.

He is 31 but Fergie has been trying to sign Jetro Williems from PSV, he's only 18 and SAF likes to build them from scratch, they also have Fabio to cover while Williems gets his Prem skills up.

That being said, SAF could be gone next year if they win I'm pretty sure he'll retire!

I dont see him going to United anyway.

And Fergie will only retire when he can longer think.

Few Years left in him yet.

I can't see a big player leaving, as for players we need? Right winger, full back cover, another centre forward and maybe an attacking midfielder.
