Exactly why it's a bit of a non issue. It's not common to keep addressing someone by name or pronoun after an introduction.

It is a non issue you are dead right. So therefore, criticising people who rightly question it, is futile.

It's the people who insist on making the non issue an issue who are making it one.

The poster I was discussing it with started out by suggesting people are being forced to use particular language (hasn't accounted for those that might not be arsed about it BTW), citing a guy who left his employment because his religious beliefs were in contradiction to policy and has since morphed the argument into 'this is all crap and I hate these people that make me alter my behaviour'

If a Dr asked you specifically to call them Doctor or someone had been knighted and asked you to call them Sir, would you refuse?
